- AFLW TRAINING: Friday 5th September 2025
Hi Ghostwriter. How did Danika look on the training track. It is obviously a great sign she has been invited to train with the AFLW program for a couple of weeks and looks to be a great prospect for us for the future.- CASEY: Elimination Final vs Williamstown
I hope we are quick off the mark to sign up Noah Yze for 2026.- Cam Bruce to Melbourne?
- AFLW Injury List 2025
I have done some track watching. I wouldn't be surprised if Maddison Ibrahim will potentially come into the side and play in the back line. Maddison is a left-footer, so I wouldn't be surprised if she was there at training on Wednesday. Maddison showed some promising signs with the 2nd practice match we played against Adelaide (At Sturts home ground).- AFLW: Rd 02 vs St. Kilda
I was there at the ground early and saw the warm up. Sarah Lampard strained her calf in the warm up. All the emergencies were still playing in their scrimmage match and Lily Johnson came on the ground at half time. I thought you would have at least one non playing emergency there ready to go. I'm not sure if Lampard will be ready next week.- Choco Williams axed
If you watched Agenda Setters on Tuesday night. Mitch Cleary was referring to Marcus Wagner. I must admit this took me by surprise.- Simon Goodwin Sacked
I want Hayden Skipworth to coach Melbourne.- Judd McVee Contract
With McVee's current form would he get into the starting line-up at Fremantle, I don't think so. After McVee's game against Adelaide, the selection committee should've dropped him after his poor performance against Rankine. We have kept playing McVee to ensure his trade value is at the level we expect to receive in return if he decides to leave. It has been mentioned many times with players returning back to WA to play for Fremantle hasn't been the best decision in hindsight. Hogan, McCarthy, Lobb, Bennell and you can even mention Troy Longmuir as well. Longmuir was playing some great football in his 2nd year with Melbourne and wanted to go back to Fremantle. From memory Troy Longmuir went to Carlton after he finished his playing career at Fremantle.- Judd McVee Contract
I'm worried that the West Coast Eagles will request Judd McVee to walk to the Pre-season draft and we won't receive any compensation in return for McVee leaving. However the PSD doesn't get used by the player and manager unless they feel their client has been screwed over or the asking price is too much.- Jason Taylor - visionary or overrated
I agree with you Dazzler, the Jury is still with both of them. However, Daniel Curtin is getting better as the weeks go by, and I'm beginning to understand the reasons why we selected Windsor instead of Curtin for our first pick in the 2023 draft.- CASEY: Rd 07 vs Footscray
Absolutely brilliant mark by Luker Kentfield. Well done- GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
To all the midfielders including Kozzie, please provide some protection to Max Gawn, because Hawthorn are going to crash into him. I believe we can win today even without Melksham and Viney.- PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Noah Balta will not be playing this Thursday night with a night curfew issued by the Magistrate.- PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
Oscar McDonald will be the 2nd ruck for Fremantle according to Justin Longmuir's press conference today. Interesting to see how Oscar plays- Xavier Lindsay Update?
Excellent news we need to hear early in the season. What a relief and more importantly, a prompt response from the media department. I have been sitting on the edge of my chair waiting to hear an update. Thank you.- CASEY: Rd 02 vs Gold Coast
An excellent start by Jed Adams. Keep it up.- GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Gold Coast
The Gold Coast Suns have won 5 games at the MCG in total since their inception in 2011. The Suns MCG victims were Melbourne in 2013, 2014, Hawthorn in 2017, Collingwood in 2021 and Richmond in 2024. The last Suns win against Melbourne was in 2014. I believe we will win today by 12 points. Let's hope my prediction is correct.- Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
That was a brilliant post @dazzledavey36. I'm in stitches of laughter. The Melbourne players will be all over this big time.- Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
I would love to have Luke Jackson to come back and I'm sure he would love to be playing with Kozzie and Trent Rivers again. It would be a great reunion for our 2019 draft year. It's complicated with added layers to it. https://x.com/TheWestSport/status/1896154294564376946- PREGAME: Practice Match vs Fremantle
- PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday February 28th 2025
Alan Richardson was on SEN WA this morning with Tim Gossage and Scott Cummings. Judd McVee should be returning to the line up in round 2 or round 3 and is progressing well with his Rehabilitation Program.- KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
FULL TRANSCRIPT: Kozzie Pickett breaks his silence Reporter: You’ve been linked to a move back to WA. There are reports around that you want to come to Freo and you’ve already been texting some boys. What do you make of those reports and do you want to head back to Perth? KP: “I’ve got friends. I’m allowed to talk to them I guess. I’m contracted at Melbourne. I’m having fun there and I love it at the club." Reporter: So there’s no truth to the fact that you want to come to Perth? KP: “I’m still contracted at Melbourne." Reporter: There was a rumour around that you were maybe trying to come back at the end of last year’s trade period and that you were a bit homesick. Was that true as well? KP: “Being away in Melbourne, there’s always a bit of homesickness but I’m still contracted and I have to do my time there." Reporter: Can you take us inside that conversation you had with Simon Goodwin and speaking a bit about that homesickness? KP: “We always have open and honest conversations. To be able to express myself and express my homesickness as a part of that relationships means we’re pretty close." Reporter: So those text messages to your friends, have you expressed a desire to specifically come and play for Fremantle? KP: “I just text like general friends. I’m pretty close with some of them." Reporter: There’s been a few social media posts about a potential move to Fremantle that accounts linked to your name have liked and been associated with. Do they belong to you? AFL spokesperson: “I think he’s already answered that one.” - AFLW TRAINING: Friday 5th September 2025
