  1. Kozzie came off limping slightly. He popped painkillers and is fine according to Steve, one of the trainers.
  2. I should get a job as a ch. 7 cameraman! StreamableWatch 30/5 1 | StreamableStreamableWatch 30/5 2 | StreamableStreamableWatch 30/5 3 | Streamable
  3. The boys are out already. Half an hour earlier than planned. It looks as though it’s just the players who are flying to Alice. They’re flying out this arvo. Shane and AMW are already there. Vines is out there training with the others Hendo and Bill are here. Jai isn’t.
  4. I hope the event attracts many people, Deeves. The NSW Demons sponsor Jeffo and that’s not cheap, and they’re his only sponsor. It’s hard for them to organise events being that they’re not In Vic so I hope it’s a success. Kelly’s a great guy and he’d have a lot of interesting things to talk about.
  5. That’s right, bing. He said he was dropped and he knows he’s gonna have to work hard to get to his 250th this year.
  6. I’m wide awake in the middle of a nightmare
  7. WTF Brisbane?!?!?! You’d better be saving your best for the second half coz a 26pt lead at halftime is not good enough!!! This is Essendon you’re playing…. ESSENDON. Ffs do the righty and smash ’em into the middle of next week! Soz did I just say that aloud? 🤭
  8. Not hard to believe at all. Apparently we “nursed” him to 200 games because he’s Goody’s favourite or he’s got photos of Goody’s wife or he ran over Goody’s dog or he has photos of Goody’s dog or he ran over Goody’s wife or Goody’s wife ran over his dog or whatever those ridiculous comments were. Anyways, it’s awesome to see him getting the praise he deserves 👏 👏👏
  9. It could be over by the one-minute mark and I’d still thoroughly enjoy the remaining 119 mins.
  10. F/S doesn’t apply since he played only a handful of games for Melbourne
  11. I’ve already asked him to take a photo of it and he said he will do so the next time the rooms are set up for Collingwood (he only works part time) which shan’t be long because they play at the ‘G so often. How he described it though, you can see it’s a Melbourne player but you can’t definitively say which Melbourne player it is. I’m sure it was designed with that in mind. But it’s not hard to join the dots.
  12. Wasn’t sure where to post something I wanted to say about Maynard then this thread was bumped. So I have a friend who works at the ‘G. Yesterday he was in the home team’s rooms which were set up for Collingwood (since they’re the next team to play a home game there) including posters on the walls and the like. One poster which is supposed to depict the essence of Collingwood has the word FIGHT in large block letters underneath which is a photo of Maynard slamming into a Melbourne player. I was shocked and said surely it’s not the Gus incident???? He said you couldn’t see the head of the Melbourne player but the number on his jumper started with a 1 If they’ve printed a poster with that disgusting incident on it and are pinning it up proudly in the rooms at the ‘G for motivation or whatever, they’re even more reprehensible than we thought possible.
  13. In terms of our modest injury list, huge props to Peter, the club’s head physio. Selwyn along with Jacob (the club doctor) attribute this to him. Pete’s a very professional, no-nonsense type of guy. He’s quiet and unassuming and remains in the background mostly, but he’s clearly doing a fantastic job because luck isn’t the only factor in being able to field our best players. Onya Pete!
  14. The injury was sustained before the Mills collision in a separate incident.
  15. Yeah I saw the presser. A friend was at Casey today (behind the locked gates) and didn’t see Jack there.
  16. Vines might not be available this week. He didn’t train today.
  17. “If any of what you said was remotely true…” I didn’t misunderstand at all. I simply referenced your words, verbatim. Also, please understand that I bristle when I see someone being questioned about the validity of what they’ve shared. Once bitten, etc.
  18. I’m sorry but implying someone is not telling the truth really triggers me, especially when it’s someone like Jaded who isn’t given to making stuff up.
  19. Thank you @binman for your praise for the cheer squad! It’s really cool to know we’re appreciated. Please humour me while I do a bit of trumpet blowing 😁 We pride ourselves on how well-placed our props are. In particular we space the giant flags out in such a way that our depth is enviable (yes, other cheer squads envy us 🤩). This was taken on Sunday… Look how far back we go!
  20. I didn’t notice that. I should’ve since I spent quite some time on the Victory side of the fence but then again I was too busy trying to bum a *free coffee to notice anything. *by free I mean totally not free.
  21. He put on a decent-length show but I had to deep dive into the great abyss that is my bag. Meanwhile the phone was in my pocket the whole time 🙄
  22. The damage was already done before the Mills incident. Charles himself has said this. But I’m sure the Mills collision didn’t help at all.
  23. All good. I posted the quoted comment at 8am, at which time we knew he’d injured his scapula, we just didn’t know to what degree and it turns out it’s a fracture that isn’t as bad as suspected.
  24. Talk about humble! I told Bowser that we’ve always known how good he is but now it seems everyone else is taking notice. I quoted Kingy who said, “Watch out, young fellah. You’re on the rest of the competition’s radar.” I told him he’ll be minded from now on and he actually blushed. 🥹 He said, “nah, that won’t happen.” I said don’t make me slap a player! He said, “Okay, that won’t happen… every week.” 😅 He’s a quick learner is our #17 😉
  25. Spargs says it was the first incident.
