Hoping to get a good turnout at open training tomorrow at Casey. A great opportunity for little Dees (and not so little Dees) to get autographs/selfies with the boys. There’ll be face-painting, handball comps, a coffee van and the pièce de résistance… the Demon Army *Sausage Sizzle! A snag in bread (with or without onions) is the **breakfast of champions and it won’t cost you an arm a leg. Profits go to the purchase of new props, for example we’re gonna need giant heads for some of those young ‘uns who are qualifying for a giant head a-head of time (see what I did there 😁). So if you’re undecided about attending, please choose to come and get up-close and personal with our awesome players! * Capital ‘S’ in Sausage Sizzle because yes, it’s that special. ** apologies to Mr Vonnegut.

My friend attended training yesterday and this is what she texted me … “Went to training today and wow just wow- I have never seen them like this! It was full-on. Serious training no holding back. Only me and 2 other spectators. 
 The rehab group were on the back oval- but all were running, moving and kicking really well as far as I could see. The boys are so fit! I can’t wait to see them actually out on the ground.”

There’s also this part… … which is not conspicuous at all, but which will likely be publicised closer to the day. It will be at Casey. Starting time yet to be announced.

Our players train every weekday except for Thursdays. They also train on Saturday mornings.

They trained at Casey this morning. I wasn’t there but my buddy was, and her text message was short and sweet: “Went to training today and wow just wow- I have never seen them like this! Oh you just reminded me, I saw him but forgot to find out who he is. Dammit, I hate not knowing 😂 but I have a variety of ways of finding out. Watch this space 👍🏽 edit: the question has been answered. But in future, I shan’t drop the ball again. 😁

Besides Vines, Bill Laurie is another player who’ll be sporting a shiner. He copped an errant Riv elbow to the eye. No biggie, it’s just that the bandaging looks so dramatic.

Luker was there (training with the main group) but his hair has grown and so has he. I almost didn’t recognise him. Charles was there. He said his achilles is almost 100% Toby Sinnema is likely one of the boys you didn’t recognise. Today was the first time he’s met many of the players. He said he’s stoked about how much they welcomed him.

“No doubt” ????? As a famous ranga fish n chip shop owner once said ploise explain Roy is Kozzie’s biological uncle. They’re super close as you say. But in terms of teammates it’s Ricky Mentha who will figure largely in Kozzie’s decision to stay with us, IMHO.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned already but Taj was wearing the no-contact hat because of some “minor concussion issues”

I congratulated Goody on his recent tying of the knot. Told him his gorgeous bride Kris looked stunning, the scenery was beautiful and his shirt was hands down the ugliest wedding apparel I’ve ever seen. He was shocked to hear my thoughts on his shirt. He said he loves it, it’s his favourite piece of clothing. I said I’ll pray for you. He said folks were asking him if he had a 10-pin bowling game to attend after the match. He thought that was funny. I said I’ll pray reeeaaallll hard for you. 🙃

Fullarton in rehab coz he has a slight hammy, sustained on Monday.

Kozzie hasn’t seen that revolting imaginary back page but he laughed when I told him about it and said it’s bs and to pay no attention to it. He and Ardu and Bellanie ain’t goin’ nowhere!

Huge black clouds rolling in right now. Thank goodness I forgot my umbrella 🙄 They’ll still train while it’s raining but I’ve seen a couple of lightning strikes. Postscript- the rains are here Marge.
