TRAINING: Tuesday 12th August 2025
The boys are all in their junior football guernseys. Some jarring sights here: Essendon, Richmond, Collingwood etc. guernseys. Tmac asked me if his jumper is too small (it is) but I said it looks fine. Nothing wrong with a belly hanging out from a jumper, right?

Melbourne Football Club - The CEO
Nor did I But I did anyways 😜 He was wearing a blue suit. I’m sure he blended in while in the MCC but he stood out like dog’s proverbials in the cheer squad. If the suit didn’t give him away the wavy bouffant did.

He had no choice. Hard to not look someone in the eye when they’re all up in your grill.

AFLW SEASON OPENS THIS WEEK
It won’t be a full exodus. Many will stay for the second half. I’m guessing if we’re getting trounced it won’t look great seeing a bunch of us pack up and leave at halftime. No doubt we’ll be seen off by the lovely Hawks supporters striking up a rousing rendition of Nah nah nah hey hey hey goodbye. 😅

AFLW SEASON OPENS THIS WEEK
It’s actually not just rain they’re predicting, it’s hail, and the temperature will plummet. Idk if many will attend but one thing’s for sure: our cheer squad will be representing complete with banner and guard of honour and very loud voices. ❤️💙 Our “chopper” will be the 5:40 Williamstown train to West Footscray. We leave the AFL match at halftime. I’ll be watching the second half on my phone and good luck to other passengers on the train if it’s a close match 😅

AFLW SEASON OPENS THIS WEEK
At the time it looked way worse than it actually was. It swelled up to three times its normal size. It’s fine now.

Roosy's roost
Oi Chook… I’m juuuust starting to warm to Bucks. Please don’t make my acceptance of a Collingwood person be in vain!

At Sunday’s match during the first quarter our bay was abuzz upon hearing Guerra was sitting somewhere amongst us. Folks were inconspicuously glancing around etc. trying to see if he really was there. At the quarter time break a member of the DA who’s not backward in coming forward went a-hunting for him. She found him, introduced herself, welcomed him to our cheer squad then gave him one piece of advice, that being… if you wanna succeed at our club you need to forget Essendon exists. “Essendon is now dead to you,” she said firmly. “I trust we understand one another,” she added almost menacingly. We, oh I mean they both laughed; she, heartily and he, nervously. He said he’s resolutely and unwaveringly committed to the Demons so she spared him any further discomfort. I think he appreciated her honesty. That, or he’s scared sch!ttless of her.

Brad Green and the current board
Caroline Wilson knows all of this exactly how? “Clearly the decision was made by the President, Brad Green.” Clearly, Caro? What makes this clear to you? Why do people still not only listen to her but believe what she says??!!

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Disco, like almost everyone else, thought the ball would be out of bounds. He’d slammed into the post at the same time so there was never gonna be a chance of him stopping that goal. He was also cramping on and off in the last. At one point he was cramping badly in both legs at the same time. He was walking like he’d 💩-ed his pants, so you know it must’ve been bad. He was waving for attention for ages, poor bugger was frustrated to be so hampered.

PREGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
This week it’s Hawthorn’s home game. For those who like sitting near the cheer squad, the DA will be in the away cheer squad bay (M33), Ponsford end. The Collingwood game is also an away game for us, but we’ll be in the home cheer squad bay (M3), Punt Rd end because Collingwood allows us to. It’s not coz they’re nice, it’s coz Collingwood luvs them the Ponsford, so the list of good things about Collingwood still remains empty.

Geez it’s tough for you now that Goody’s gone. Who’re you gonna relentlessly bag? Oh that’s right: you can continue to bag him anyways, I’m sure there’s no statute of limitations. You and your little mini-me Hopeful Demon can go nuts!- POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Totally unnecessary; unproductive and puerile. If you can’t come back with a valid counter-argument, maybe don’t say anything at all.- POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
I apologise. I totally misunderstood. I can see why you would’ve questioned Frap’s comment. All good 👍🏽- POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
What part of “Was very close to Goodwin” do you not understand?- Welcome to Demonland: Luker Kentfield

For those at the ground today, at halftime we’re doing a “bay banner” which is part of the AFLW promotion. A huge banner will be draped over our bay and it will be quite the spectacle. We’ll be sitting under it and we’ve been told to wiggle around while under it and if ever there was a DA event tailored for me… this is it 😃 This is it…- GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
She’s putting the stoopid time machine on FB market place coz last night it took her back to when she was 20yo and could drink to excess and still function adequately the next day.- GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
She doesn’t need to practice her flogging. She’s a flogging maestro 😅 She went to her sister’s birthday party last night planning on staying for a couple of hours and not drinking. Cut to 3am and she’s staggering up to her front door loudly telling the neighbourhood she’s gotta get up early to go watch her mighty Dees smash the pies 🤷♀️ - POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
