Shane-o has a very slight hammy niggle. Nothing to worry about. He acknowledged he’s greatly improved fitness-wise and is very happy with where he’s at both physically and mentally. He admitted he wasn’t in a good place when he first came to us and said this was largely due to adapting to living in Melb taking a lot longer than expected, and being injured. I reckon the club’s patience will pay off, and will do so sooner rather than later 👊🏼❤️💙

Noah Yze was there. As for that second boy who we were told is a father/son and yes, sworn to secrecy, something funny’s going on because Harves introduced me to him and he’s not who we were told he is. Different name, not a F/S 🤷‍♀️

Luker a “strong possibility” to be put on the LTI list. Charles Spargo “no chance at all” to be on that list (I had to ask since he’s still not in full training).

Taj absent today because he was “feeling crook” this morning. Nothing serious. He’ll be at training on Friday. Spaz wearing goggles while training coz he doesn’t want dirt to get in his eye. His eyelid was split during training last week when an unnamed teammate accidentally stood on his face. He’s had plastic surgery (you can’t even tell) and is mindful of keeping it clean.

There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to get up and out from under “the pack” to get the ball and all I can see is that scene from Kindergarten Cop

Maysie’s here though.

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury.

It’s not on the MFC website but they’ll be training at Gosch’s next Wednesday (Feb 12th) unless that changes for whatever reason. You fly out on the 15th so I hope you can make it that day 💖

And it works a treat, right? Hitherto, my method was to start at 300 then subtract three over and over (297, 294, 291, etc.) ‘til you get to zero, before which time you’re usually asleep. This method works because it’s just enough to keep your mind from wandering but not so much that it’s stimulating and therefore keeping you awake. In summary, footy can’t start soon enough. 😅

I know all the men’s and women’s numbers because as an aid to falling asleep I go through them numerically in my head. It’s a sure-fire method which I was told about by a fellow-Demonlander at Gosch’s (can’t remember who, but thanks all the same 😊) and I’ve taken it further by going through them in reverse should I still be awake at the end of the list.

Yes, I know this. But your question to me was where else would his Chinese mother be born? That question was asked in reply to me saying his Chinese mother was actually born in China (as opposed to his Chinese mother who was born in Australia for example). Folks on here replied to the effect that she could’ve been born anywhere, but still be Chinese.

There’s only 24 hours in a day. That’s not nearly enough time to stalk, I mean, check in on an entire team. Disclaimer: to no one in particular but just in case it’s needed… I don’t really stalk the players nor do I make light of stalking in general. This is a long-running joke on here.

Australia, for one example. Half of my siblings were born in Australia and half in Ireland, all to the same two Irish parents. My siblings born in Australia are as Irish as the rest of us. Ie, your ethnicity isn’t always based on where you were born.

I can only go by what they tell me and I know that just because they refer to themselves by a particular term doesn’t automatically mean that I can. Therefore I always ask if it’s appropriate for me to use the term. Anyways, I didn’t know it had another meaning so I’ve learned something today and that’s always a good thing 🙂
