  1. Even when he realized he didn’t change it Pickett was them only new one Oliver Viney trac got their usual minutes His final move was Windsor but way too late by then Even worse he found gems like rivers and then ignored him Dug his own grave
  2. Welcome to the MFC Bucks
  3. Turns out part of the deal was some time up the ground Goody believed he didn’t perform their in training and reneged Probably not salvageable at this point with both WA clubs lurking but I’d say the biggest priority for the new coach
  4. Lot of moving parts in the last week. Under Goodwin the intention was to compete but club is now considering a rebuild and not sure the direction. Will depend on the next coach Buckley is gathering momentum. Smart money because personally I don’t believe Horse will be keen players on their way out like Lever are now keen to see the next step Fritsch was never leaving under Goodwin and is now seen as an option to go Players want May out and believe he’s replaceable. Sick of his attitude. Gawn defended him in public after KB but that was it. Believe Petty Derksen Adams enough to cover Rivers and McVee midfield minutes another thing that will need to be addressed
  5. Doesn't matter where he is, he'll be in the VFL Goodwin's loyalty to his premiership side was his downfall
  6. Fantastic news for the club that Carlton continue to descend into irrelevance Allows us to take our time and work on our targets to convince them than have to compete for them Club will want this done before trade week and free agents etc
  7. The group has indeed been formed. It includes Alan Richardson
  8. Also on Goodwin - will not be short of media offers for next year. He is so highly rated in the industry
  9. Proper process in place to assess all options if he doesn’t want the job/goes to Carlton. That includes untried hot property assistants. The main reason for all of this is the need for the game plan that suits modern Footy and it is usually young coaches that can implement this. Buckley is also very much high on our list but many in the industry believe he will do one more year of media and go to Tassie
  10. So the call to a certain premiership coach who recently made a grand final was definitely made before Green called Goody on Monday night The call is yet to be answered but belief in the industry is that he always wanted to keep coaching and wasn’t happy with the deal to replace him Melb wanted to get ahead of the chasing pack I see it’s worked as Carlton are having an emergency board meeting tonight Melbourne have their eggs in more than one basket
  11. Gus injury and retirement and melksham ACL cost us a flag I’ll die on that hill
  12. Had to be done Thank you for the flag Simon. Something I believed I would never see
  13. Well considering Leek Aleer couldn't get games till recently, think they knew a 23 year old who hadn't played wasn't high in their pecking order. This year, Aleer, Bucklet, Taylor have all had injuries and they hadn't played. Although, I do wish maybe were as ruthless with ANB and told him to stick when he asked to go home right after signing a new contract
  14. Giants don't lose players they want to lose Bobby Hill is really the only one in that time. They're usually a very good team to worth it, there's a reason they've kept guys like Greene Whitfield and Coniglio happy for so long
  15. Giants not trading Derksen last year should cop more heat than it does. 23 year old kid desperate to get him for reasons outside of footy in a desperate family situation told to stay firm and live without his family to play VFL all year and not one AFL game Sometimes there is more to life than footy. the Kid couldn't believe McCartney said no to him when he explained why he had to get home. I find it weird because when I had a meeting with the father of a player of ours that once played for them, he said Giants more than any other club were by the far the best at looking after players and their family. Big words considering between his sons, they've been at 6 of the biggest clubs in the league. I'm, glad we have persisted and offered this kid a life line
  16. Deal with him was agreed months ago We gave him the 4 years he wanted Everyone agreed and was happy Absolutely no idea why his side hasn't signed and what has happened since
  17. Another letter to members that says sweet [censored] all
  18. The thing is, Yze did not need to be replaced. He was already in the building. An offer should've been made to him to encourage him to stay that he would be the next boss at the end of Goodwin's contract. Better clubs have let better coaches walk to ensure they get their next good coach (Port and Sydney for one) Instead we didn't because we believed Goodwin would be the guy We backed the wrong horse (not to mention the diabolical coaching decisions that have been made since he left)
  19. Not quite sure there's a replacement either
  20. I'm so glad they pointed out the Langdon kick. 4 kicks after that, St Kilda kicked a goal. He had Oliver, Salem and Pickett free t take 30 seconds off the clock (and give the ball to better users) but he gave it to a 4 on 1 down the line and we're obviously out of position to stop the rebound Then pickett goes off for 5 minutes I sent that to my whatsapp group at the time and said they will lose the game Every single mistake pointed out in this video is why Goodwin can't be coach anymore. The team was so disorganized and so shambolic, it shows how far standards have dropped at this club Those mistakes just don't happen at a team with a good coach, if that happens at Collingwood I'll close my account and never speak about footy ever again
  21. Except Spargo is very much part of Goodwins circle of trust and belief that it’s still 2021 No longer good enough for AFL football
  22. Yeah let’s keep him 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
  23. Not sure what the outcome of this was, but I was in their rooms on the day of the Carlton game. There was no such photo It is either the case of the fact they had removed it, but more likely your mate was misinformed as I did see a photo of Collingwood cheering a goal with Maynard in it and a Dees player in the photo. The player was McVee and he was upright
  24. If you want to know where we're at under Goody right now, watch that first quarter from Carlton and know he couldn't motivate the team to beat that
  25. IMO, this is the reason why I'm over Goody. Last season we wasted the whole year only to find this gem in the middle, play the whole pre season there, only to shaft him to the backline ALL YEAR and not even TRY him once there I see in the other thread, a reliable poster has said Oliver believes the game has passed him by. All teams have moved on with pace in the midfield (adelaide, freo) and we continue to play the slow bulls who can't kick in the middle while Rivers rots in the backline Better hope his missus convinces him Victoria is the place to be because I'm sure a trip home to reunite with his former midfield coach will be back on the cards.
