Time to go Goody?
The thing is, Yze did not need to be replaced. He was already in the building. An offer should've been made to him to encourage him to stay that he would be the next boss at the end of Goodwin's contract. Better clubs have let better coaches walk to ensure they get their next good coach (Port and Sydney for one) Instead we didn't because we believed Goodwin would be the guy We backed the wrong horse (not to mention the diabolical coaching decisions that have been made since he left)

Not quite sure there's a replacement either

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs St. Kilda
I'm so glad they pointed out the Langdon kick. 4 kicks after that, St Kilda kicked a goal. He had Oliver, Salem and Pickett free t take 30 seconds off the clock (and give the ball to better users) but he gave it to a 4 on 1 down the line and we're obviously out of position to stop the rebound Then pickett goes off for 5 minutes I sent that to my whatsapp group at the time and said they will lose the game Every single mistake pointed out in this video is why Goodwin can't be coach anymore. The team was so disorganized and so shambolic, it shows how far standards have dropped at this club Those mistakes just don't happen at a team with a good coach, if that happens at Collingwood I'll close my account and never speak about footy ever again

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Except Spargo is very much part of Goodwins circle of trust and belief that it’s still 2021 No longer good enough for AFL football

Time to go Goody?
Yeah let’s keep him 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Maynard unscathed
Not sure what the outcome of this was, but I was in their rooms on the day of the Carlton game. There was no such photo It is either the case of the fact they had removed it, but more likely your mate was misinformed as I did see a photo of Collingwood cheering a goal with Maynard in it and a Dees player in the photo. The player was McVee and he was upright

Time to go Goody?
If you want to know where we're at under Goody right now, watch that first quarter from Carlton and know he couldn't motivate the team to beat that

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
IMO, this is the reason why I'm over Goody. Last season we wasted the whole year only to find this gem in the middle, play the whole pre season there, only to shaft him to the backline ALL YEAR and not even TRY him once there I see in the other thread, a reliable poster has said Oliver believes the game has passed him by. All teams have moved on with pace in the midfield (adelaide, freo) and we continue to play the slow bulls who can't kick in the middle while Rivers rots in the backline Better hope his missus convinces him Victoria is the place to be because I'm sure a trip home to reunite with his former midfield coach will be back on the cards.

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
This is just astonishing What a shambles of a club we are. Did Trac think he was some sort of hero playing like that an helping us? For goody, what a chance this was to try Rivers or Langford, instead he kept his same 4 What a joke

Time to go Goody?
The idea the club accepts this mediocrity and Goodwin's job isn't even up for discussion is simply just laughable. Can't even stomach another wasted season and yet the club are keen for more. The idea we're looking for experience makes me lol. We're going to have another summer of doing our best to keep key players like Petracca Oliver Rivers fritsch Lever The only name that would even look at us is Worpel, yet going for another midfield plodder who cant kick when already 75% of our midfield is just like him in Oliver viney Petracca shows the club's head is very much in the sand about where we're at

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Genuinely uncoachable. Every kick a turnover 30+ turnovers dropped sitters, missed easy kicks, pathetic game style No change to the game plan Anyone at this club that finds this acceptable has absolutely NFI

PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Would be an absolute joke now if one of JVR or Jeffo lose their spot to Petty

Farewell Judd McVee
this has taken a weird turn McVee had hope we would stump up four years which we did. Everyone was happy Now all of a sudden he wants to delay it Maybe the W.A. Teams have been In his ear Maybe his real realized the direction of this football club is not a positive one Let’s just hope the WA teams watched his performance last weekend and decided to leave him alone

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
I’m afraid if you can’t beat North without LDU and Larkey, you have no business being coach next year

Time to go Goody?
Would Love to hear any arguments someone could make in favor of him being in charge next year Waste another season

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Petracca had 82% CBA, Oliver 75, viney 57 They were 3’of the 4 mids to get CBAS Rivers, Langdon, Langford, Salem 0 The only reason they “didn’t attend one together” is because of Pickett The only midfielder we have suited to the modern game Last year was a ****show but we found something in Rivers and this year he hasn’t gone in once

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
8 goals in a row with about zero tackles and zero pressure applied during that period. For the life of me can't work out how we haven't tried ANYTHING different by round 17. We had one week of Salem in the middle and nothing since. We STILL HAVEN'T seen Rivers in there. Same old [censored] with Petracca Oliver and Viney thinking it's 2021. No Trac up forward, no Langford in the middle. Just the same thing every week believing it might change. Unbelievable

Jason Taylor - visionary or overrated
And not to mention any pick they got won't be better than Lindsay. He'd be a top 5 mid in any other draft He's played what, like 4 or 5 games? And had his season interrupted by a knee injury. Please

It's not worth looking at what other teams did what that pick but rather what Taylor could've done with the pick Eg - Anastopolous , still avaible was Hugo Garcia, Lawson Humphries, Archie Roberts However, my point is, Taylor is not the problem. He has hit on over 80% of his picks since coming to the club. Lamb has not built on the premiership and his recruitment since has set us back

Jason Taylor - visionary or overrated
Just lol at the name of this thread. Since 2019, lets look at the names Jason Taylor has brought to the club Luke Jackson (Pick 3) Kozzie Pickett (Pick 12) Trent Rivers (Pick 32) Bailey Laurie (pick 22 - traded up for Holmes but he went the pick before) Jake Bowey (pick 21) Fraser Rosman (Pick 34) Van Rooyen (Pick 19) Taj Woewodin (Pick 65 F/S) Matthew Jefferson (Pick 15) Jed Adams (Pick 38) Windsor (Pick 7) Kolt (Pick 13) Harvey Langford (Pick 6) Xavier Lindsay (Pick 12) Now that also ignores the premiership list he built before hand (Salem, Petracca, Brayshaw, Jordon, Petty, Sparrow, Fritsch, ANB, Harmes, Spargo, Hunt, Chandler) Plus absolute gems he has found in the PS draft like Turner and McVee Now let's look at What Tim Lamb has done since he took over as List Manager in 2019. Yes initially he had success brining in Langdon, May, Ben Brown) But since winning a premiership and attempting to build a dynasty, lets look at the picks we squandered giving to Lamb to trade instead of trusting Taylor Hunter, Dunstan, McAdam, Billings, Harry Sharp, Fullerton, Tom Campbell, Schache Yeah - I know who trust at this club

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
I'm sure @Ghostwriter enjoyed that game and first quarter performance as those of us who actually care about the direction of the club were disgusted at what we saw in that first quarter, but seeing as losing every week now makes him happy - must've been a great weekend for him
-
PREGAME: Rd 1 6 vs Gold Coast
I LOLOLOLOL at the fact the clown thinks he’s made some sort of selection statement by dropping a defender despite defending well (but not dropping the one who had 7 kicked in him) and 2 kids but then keeping Petty in the side Dropping JVR over Petty shows Goodwin isn’t actually serious with his “selection statements” and hopefully the players see through it as well Cannot wait for this contract to run down because the damage he does to this footy club in the meantime is going to be irreparable

Welcome to Demonland: Caleb Windsor
Not sure who said it was good He's going at 65% this year, opposed to 67% last year. Less noticeable entering 50 from the wing than coming out defense, butchering it and getting smashed on the rebound. but Glad you're okay with that sort of mediocrity, the same poor standards the club has come to accept that means the coach who has taken this list to 15th will be at the helm next year without his position even being up for discussion
-
Welcome to Demonland: Caleb Windsor
Windsor's kicking isn't just poor, it's diabolical. I blame the coaches, by moving him to half back, they've nullified all the exciting things he was doing lasty year and brought out the flaws and made them glaringly obvious. Playing half back you have to be a good kick or we get slammed on the rebound. Running down the wing and kicking inside 50 you can at least set up for. (well good teams can) Move him back to the midfield, the experiment has not worked. They've taken one of the most exciting things about 2024 and turned it into a disaster - just like they've done with Rivers
