No need to guess. http://www.aflmembershipnumbers.com/melbourne-membership-numbers.html

Now that's he's been stepped on by the Murdoch press we should take him at $20 grand per kilo over five years.
-
Wait, what? That plate is photo-shopped. No one who has a genuine habit cuts crappy lines like that.
-
-
Probably just a pothole. This thread needs to be pinned as a daily antidote to MFCSS.
-
How much do people think Jaeger and Prestia are individually worth and whereabouts would they place within our current list in terms of performance?
-
Hmm. Hyperkalemia. With some of real-world lifestyles suggested on here we should all be more aware. Time to cut back on the lady-fingers a little bit I think.
-
I haven't once advocated for Jamar's inclusion at the expense of Spencer and I think Jake played his role well in the center last round - but before we get carried away and slag off the Russian regarding comparative around the ground statistics, Spencer had a total of six touches against the Cats.
-
In all fairness, for what contracts are worth nowadays Shiel could still end up playing for the Hawks next year. And that would suck more than Roos demoting himself halfway through his already short expensive tenure.
-
Old Dee - this is probably the most serious and tongue out of cheek question I'll ever ask on D'land. Beside the idea that their consumption attracts pernicious blood-sucking malaria-bearing parasites, what's the issue with eating too many bananas? Is your GP aligned with Woolies and Coles?
-
I’d completely forgotten but it’s interesting to note how tall we went in against the Weagles last time round (in an obviously dead rubber – but they’re all pretty much dead after round 5 for the MFC) – Gawn, Fitzpatrick, Pederson and Dawes up front with Jamar in the ruck. Though probably not much of an insight into current thinking ‘cause we still lost by 10 goals. And my god, I’d also happily forgotten that according to the match report we didn’t take a grab inside 50 until the last term despite comfortably winning the possession count. P.s. - I have no point. I'm just lonely.

So my elderly father is absolutely convinced there's a conspiracy between the big supermarket chains in Australia to genetically modify bananas for thicker skins in order to shortchange consumers on their potassium intake per average purchase. What's this thread about?
-
I absolutely agree with the appraisal of Jamar and it certainly seems time to pasture from a list management perspective. But realistically, Spencer didn't provide us with much more in the last match than what Jamar could have also probably done as a second ruck against an opposition without rucks. Not a knock on Jake. Just not sure he's going to have many such luxuries in the future.
-
Wasn't taking a dig at the club. I just miss the Experience is all. But he did play well for us as well when forced into first-ruck duties.
-
You mean tall athletic types like Stef Martin BBO?
-
Poor Jamar. Spencer gets lauded for his second-ruck efforts in a single game but has the Russian ever been afforded such an opportunity?
-
I plan on using MFCSS as an excuse in court next time I get caught holding the baggie.
-
On another note, we haven't had anyone front up to date this year (from memory). Is this unusual and how does it compare to other clubs? - can't be bothered looking it up. Are we soft, lucky, disciplined, been given favourable treatment?
-
If I had a spare womb Daisycutter he'd be welcome to store his junk there.

And hopefully enough games for his alleged off-field proclivities to reward us with a rich supply of illegitimate father-son mini-V's. Just noticed his ripper against the Cats was Bernie's 100th goal in the AFL. Not a bad way to bring up the milestone.

Post Match Discussion - Round 12 (never in doubt)
Skuit replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
But why then is he listed fifth on equal votes when Pendlebury is quite clearly alphabetically inferior? This is an outrage but not remotely unexpected - when will our skip ever get the recognition he truly deserves from the wider AFL community?! -
Excuse or not, Roosy must have at least been referring to someone or someones on the list to have so blatantly brought that up in public, and it's safe then to presume he actually believes it whether intended as a forewarning or challenge. Some simple deduction and process of elimination suggests only a handful left of the older heads who've copped consistent drubbings and not since lifted their game as potential candidates: Garland, Grimes, Jamar, Trengove, McKenzie and maybe Howe. Get used to most of those guys not being here next year.

The long-life likes of an R. Harvey, C. Bradley or Sam Mitchell type all seem to have these durable ever-ready work-horse bodies. Bernie is some other bizarre creation, just starting to elevate his game at 30ish and still looking like a serious spring chicken. It's hard to even imagine a deliberation on his retirement in a couple years. Vince been evidently watching Cocoon vids on VHS for match-day motivation.

Rivers, Frawley, fit Mitch, Moloney and Sylvia were our better and/or most consistent players - at least all first 22. My argument is that Garland wont want to be at the club for the dosh he'll be offered and may or may not deserve. And besides, the argument of consistency is rather ambiguous. McKenzie is certainly consistent.
