Going after them is a fairly meaningless sentiment when stripped of any monetary context. I agree that we should call their managers.
-
Hey RM. Do you have some links to the 65m goal and those others from his first season?
-
I can't quite tell if you're arguing a point with me Saty. My original post was supportive of Jesse's action, arguing that he should do what comes naturally rather than get distracted by whatever he's being told he should be concentrating on.
-
Saty. It was just a suggestion of where his stutter may have originated back through his junior years. Maybe he has the distance ability - but if he was confident in it we would see that on game day. And we don't.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – LACHLAN FILIPOVIC
Skuit replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Love this article and everything it says about the club at present. Taylor backing Gawn in, and along with others, a senior player really keen on young talent and personally taking them under their wing - so much so that it's clearly visible on the field. I'm fairly confident Max will do everything in his powers now not to let the club down. -
Hogan needs to practice the fluidity of his stutter. He looked at his worse when distracted by it, and what he 'should' be doing. Never seemed to have a problem with accuracy (VFL - early AFL) when left to do what came naturally. Not sure if it impacts his penetration though. That's a different story - but a lack of confidence in his distance kicking ability may be where the stutter came from in the first place.

The jumper looks exactly like something I imagine Oliver would come up with if he were made to design our new clash as punishment.
-
A perfectly measured response. Oliver worked his ass off just to get on our list and then ready himself for competitive AFL where he showed what he's worth. Had a massive first season coming from a long way back. So basically returning for his first proper pre-season without much of a break. Compare him then to other such players. And I don't doubt for a second his commitment to the club and improving his game.

New balance apparel sponsorship renewed?
Skuit replied to Delusional demon 82's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wait. If their quality is so fantastic why would you need a new pair a short time after buying the last? -
I was watching some Jack just the other day and was also reminded of a point I've often pondered. Talk of possessions/touches usually refers to disposals, but I'd be interested to read the stats for how often Jack actually has the ball in his hands in each game. Time and time again he's in there at the bottom the pack and is highly skilled at locking it in. His reading of the play and ability to gather the ball is sublime. If he further develops his elusiveness breaking from the stoppages his numbers and impact will become genuinely elite.

New balance apparel sponsorship renewed?
Skuit replied to Delusional demon 82's topic in Melbourne Demons
There was an article on the AFL website listing the clubs with new kit manufacturers in 2017. No mention of Melbourne, -
The MFC seem to be assembling quite the formidable social basketball team . . .

This thread needs to have some of it's cartilage scraped out and to be hauled off to the Hunt for a Red Hot Ruckman section for a spot of recovery.

Training - Wednesday 9th November, 2016

Classic. DS bringing the house down in fine pre-season form. -
I assume Jamar has also been delisted?

Salem has been the constant bane when penciling in a prospective team-sheet and trying to squeeze in our considerable stock of talent. I'm not convinced he's back-line material in terms of defensive nous and he looked rather lost when I saw him there this year. Yet, I don't feel he's ready as a permanent mid and others have gone past him in the square. But slot him in at half-forward and others get pushed out. Is an outside role on the wing a reasonable solution when we have the speedsters in Stretch and Hunt primed to take on the job?
-
A 'Nutbean' doesn't exactly evoke the impression of impressive tackle.
-
Yet this was the brilliance of King Carey and Pagan's late-90's paddock defined.
-
Nice speech tiers. And I'm sure our expert footy department would agree with you - focusing on the individual components of football like tackling and such is simply a waste of time and resources and we should just concentrate on kicking goals. Do, don't think. (Apply sarcastica font here). Sure - stats in isolation can be irrelevant and it's the interplay, but the question was how these tackle stats interrelate with and represent our team-plan/style of play?
-
Nathan Basset. I'll keep repeating this gentleman's name in any thread that I can. But welcome aboard Max.

Coniglio in Barca according to afl.com. Time to get your inner-paparazzo on or at least a quiet recruitment word.

I was in Nusa Penida. Not so pretty. I'm now in Koh Chang Noi in the west of Thailand near the Burmese border. The purported lack of internet keeps the party plebs at bay. No sightings of CP5 during my travels as such.

All I took from the photos was that Hibberd and Bugg had been sharing styling tips in the off-season.
-
How was Hoge's shaping up action Saty? Was his change of mind fluent or stuttered? Do we need Carey at the club perhaps to teach Hogan how to change his mind in a proper fashion?
-
A few comments on Hibberd looking sharp. Relatively nothing on Milkshake?
