Don't the AFL lawyers sign off on the trade paperwork at the time AngryatAFL? You want them to back-flip on a back-flip and provide a grievance case for the Hawks?

I, for one, don't feel particularly led-on. I was more interested in 'Which player spreads both butter and his wings, yet remains ocean-bound?' rather than if such player was in discussions with the MFC. In fact, the Riddler never said a single word in that regard. Only that x 'is perhaps the key to the future of the Melbourne Demons'. The Riddler had someone in mind - and that was all that was of interest to me. If he/she just strung some random words together, then we would have been led on. And if so, I would find that highly amusing. In fact, Riddle me this: His fifty-six houses foiled clacking giants.* * Devised from the nearest novel at hand with a pronoun/adjective/noun/verb/adjective/noun formula taken from the first appearance of each on subsequent pages chosen at random.

I don't get the love for the Saints. Can someone explain it to me.

I've been thinking about this for the past two weeks but didn't want to bring it up. Exactly what we need if he can get fit. A big if. And then's the other stuff. But if this is his final chance and the footy dept. can lay down some strict clauses he would have to adhere to, then it could be spun as an MFC redemptive story in line with our own.

Have you not seen the price of an ink cartridge? Faulkner was just a cheapskate rather than visionary.

With Oliver laying on a massive shepherd to send Mitchell sprawling . . . And this old man goes rolling home. Did you find that door CHF? -

I'd be more than happy for the MFC to offer Phil Kelly a position in the recruitment dept. - independently of our signing Josh next year of course, which will no doubt become the biggest story in the lead-up to the 2018 GF. Okay so I went and had a look. The passage was nowhere as clean as clean as I remembered - quite messy in fact (I think I may have been a bit emotionally and otherwise blinded at the time) - but it was Viney stepping Lewis. And then not long after Frost pulling out a Dusty don't argue on Hodge - with Mitchell resorting to giving Watts a little whack on the chops at around the same time. Felt like our young brigade had the Hawks champs completely frustrated.
-
But who did Viney slip in that aforementioned passage of play? It was a thing of absolute beauty.

Where are GWS at with list spaces? How many players will they be looking to bring in in terms of a mandated reduction in list-size? -
Tell me when you find the footage Robot. I was trying to recall if it was Lewis that Viney completely sold?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JORDAN LEWIS
Skuit replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
I recall it was said when we signed Lewis that we would be altering his role slightly. Was there any further clarification on this? Any ideas what we might have in mind? -
I'm with Fifty-5. Vanders in the single pre-season game I attended last year vs. Port looked ready to absolutely tear it up. I think his entire season was pretty much derailed by injury and then being played out of position. And Harmes - there are the obvious shortcomings in comparing statistics, but he compares more than favourably to Brayshaw, Salem and Stretch from a similar number of games. He's still a kid, and we've seen a decent steady improvement. Bugg and Kennedy are probably what we'll get, but they could find some more consistency and become solid contributors. For me, Frost and Kent could find themselves sliding from the core group if they don't continue to improve in certain areas.
-
There would be plenty of examples from last season that would be of equal caliber. The first one that springs to mind is late season vs. the Hawks, and Oliver kicking off a chain with a huge handball from the boundary and Viney then selling a Willy Wonkas worth of candy.

There's a nice symmetry here. Roos' first game in charge of the MFC. Goodwin's first game hence. Nick did us back then and again last year. Next year will be different.

How do you do that tag thing? Crazy O'Smearer just mentioned he was a Redlegs' member. He might have some better insight on current form and capabilities.

If it was Crane Blades we'd have the answer to our riddle.

I agree. Great tap-work (big numbers in hit-outs to advantage) and a genuinely fantastic kick for a big boy but will probably never have the tank for modern AFL and, oddly, perhaps doesn't impose his body enough in contests to be rotating forward. Still, Gawn had some similar knocks, and I'd be more than chuffed if we took the punt on Sam as an understudy for big Maxy.
-
I suspect we may see quite a dramatic turnaround in age profile at the beginning of next season, along with a focus on hard, experienced bodies and cleaner execution. Last year was a development year without a realistic chance to impact the finals. We gave the kids a run, told them to back themselves in, and were steadfast in implementing our game-plan with endeavor and contested intent rewarded over precision. This year, I think we’ll be looking to bolster our chances in tight games with a greater focus on experience and contested endurance. FF: Garlett Hogan Watts HF: Petracca Pedersen vandenBurg C: Brayshaw Jones Melksham RR: Lewis Gawn Viney HB: Hunt TMac Lumumba FB: Jetta Omac Hibberd INT: Vince Tyson Oliver Bugg
