To those who keep on saying Jeffo shows more and is better than Kolt... just remember Jeffo has had an extra year on Kolt, had a preseason, and yet is not a complete player still (which is not unusual for young talls). If you can give Jeffo time, then you can give Kolt time to recover and then develop.

Clarry is wonderful! Here's a sketch from a few years back. I don't seem to have a photo of the more detailed portrait I did of him (and am travelling so away from sketchboom), from one of the games where he was scratched on the forehead and was applauded as he went off for the blood rule. Clarry is always so joyously intent when he's on the field, especially when he's at his fittest and performing miracles 🥰❤️💙

Interestingly, I attended the Crows game and the corporate lunch at the behest of my client the other week. Their Head of Footy spoke before the match and sounded word for word like Goody. "Trust in the process, one game at a time" etc etc Seems like it's a prudent approach to keeping the lid on things at the club, rather than spin. (So nice to see my first game in person this season!! Bizarre to have to bite my tongue and there were a few moments that the Crows supporters gave me a dirty look or two. They were good sports, though, and even clapped Lever off the field. Maybe in part because I said loudly "it's not like the Crows would want to boo an injured player" and clapped menacingly 😁)

My (admittedly limited) understanding is the tall CHF draws the attention of defenders and was also quite important to the structures of our previous game plan (such as generating contests). So Fritta would be able to get off the leash more in that context

I think the lack of a good, tall CHF also hampers Fritta's ability to play his best for goal scoring (noting it's also been a period marred by injury and inconsistent runs at building momentum). Imo, no coincidence that Fritta was at his best in 2021 and 2022, when we had Big Benny Brown and then TMac (prior to lisfranc) playing CHF

Agreed, based on the heat map we had barely any shots from in front in the Saints game! However, in the weeks we've had the new game plan running well, we've generally been much better at coming via the corridor or players undertaking a lateral kick so we can score from in front (such as Langdon's kicks). Hopefully we are able to revert back to playing this style, and generating more favourable shots on goal, in the Pies game.

The other interesting part was he talks about how he has practised so much, that when he kicks it therefore becomes a matter of muscle memory and he is less likely to be affected by the pressure of the moment / fatigue. We need some of that!

Interestingly Larkey has a similar routine (and is the most accurate goal kicker in the league, iirc). Whenever I think of a nice reliable ball drop, so many moments and photos of TMac doing this come to mind! Favourite of course being the moment he kicks the after the siren cherry on top goal during our ground final, the picture of focus while a riot breaks out behind him 😁❤️💙
