  1. Can’t help but think that the timing of the 12 days protocol is very much influenced by the fact that most players get an opportunity to play footy after missing only one game. Even more so when I hear more often than not from medical people not associated with the game that concussed players (no matter what game they play) should really not play for at least 3 to 4 weeks after incurring concussion. My daughter fell of a pushbike, hit her head (had a helmet on that split at the temple region) was unconscious for only say 10 - 15 seconds and did not come good for at least a month. In fact she endured quite a few migraines for the following 6 or more months. I know there are varying levels of concussion out there. My guess is Gus’s was worse than average this time round. Just guessing again here, in years to come as more evidence arises the 12 day protocol will be increased rather than stay the same. Certainly won’t be decreased
  2. After some deep consideration, my two bobs worth is For the team - kick straighter! For the supporters- buy tickets tomorrow and turn up Friday night, full of voice. You got to be in it to win it- we are still in it GO DEES.
  3. Tackling is a football act. If you intentionally or unintentionally cause a player’s head to crash into the ground (concussion), no question, you do the time. Attempting to smother a ball is a football act. If you intentionally or unintentionally smash into a player’s head and cause concussion, you should do the time. For obvious reasons the rules of the game focus now is to protect the head. My guess a penalty will be applied, then appealed and he will get off. Hope I’m wrong.
  4. I’m with ya, but will be happy with a one point win ( not sure if my heart agrees)
  5. We are still in it. Same equation as last week, need three wins in a row. Albeit a somewhat harder path. If we are good enough (and lucky enough - injury wise) we can still do it. Fingers crossed. GO DEES!!!
  6. You do the crime you do the time. Ignorance is no excuse. Intentional or unintentional, he stuffed up.
  7. In my opinion we haven’t got a hope in hell of getting him off. Ironically I reckon the ferals have a better chance with Maynard. Work that one out!
  8. I pray to my Demon gods that more Carlton Jews are very devout Jews and will not attend.
  9. Ironically I cancelled a appointment to the dentist last week to fix a broken tooth so that I could get tickets to the Collingwood game. My new appointment is scheduled for Monday morning. I am so hoping that tickets go on sale on Tuesday 🤞
  10. It will be both. The process will more likely than not be the tribunal gives 3 weeks, there will be an appeal and he will get nothing. Reading between the lines MRO is weak as urine (not making a call but instead hand balling to the tribunal), tribunal makes a call (that makes the AFL appear to be doing the right thing about concussion taking into current / future litigation cases) and when the legals appeal and win, the AFL can say they tried to do the right thing but their hands were tied (and the Ferals are happy and tv ratings go through the roof). Everyone is happy, well almost everyone.
  11. How refreshing was it to hear him say that, particularly after the Port saga a few weeks earlier.
  12. I hear you but if that actually occurs (we don’t turn up) I will feel so much shame. I hope you are wrong. As an aside I was really proud how our crowd supported and stuck up for our players and gave the Ferals heaps (booing Maynard and Cox - yep I was one of many booing. - plenty of pride and no shame whatsoever)
  13. We got 70,000 members. Just need 50,000 to rock up (Yep I know there are AFL sections, corporates etc, but come on surely we have enough supporters that hate Carlton!!!). Turn up!
  14. If we as supporters want to help our players the plan is pretty simple. If you went to the G on Thursday you must turn up again. Better still buy a ticket for a mate. Doesn’t matter if they don’t barrack for the Dees, so long as they hate Carlton and are very loud.
  15. Football is like a religious experience for me. Along the lines of the nut jobs who [censored] themselves in the film the da Vinci code movie, I’m now going to watch the replay… just to feel the pain again. 😣😩
  16. I normally get these things wrong so I’ll put it out there. He will get off. 🤞
  17. I know it’s scratching at straws but at least we get an opportunity to watch our boys play next week…. and turn things around.
  18. Hearing talk on the radio that JVR is gone and Maynard may get off. Watch this space
  19. Why is the ABC interviewing that little Twerp Ginnivan after the game. WTF
