  1. 14 games at the G, most we have had there in forever. Double ups are fine, Port and the Dogs to slide hopefully, Freo and West coast are good and then need to match it with Collingwood and Brisbane.
  2. It’s so disappointing that all our fans seem to do is complain about the fixture on here. when we were getting Saturday and Sunday games in the arvo or twighligjt all people would do is cry for more Friday night exposure. Now that we get Thursday/Fridays/opening games/ multiple public holidays, all people seem to do is complain. We should be happy our team has success and is put in prime time slots. We should not be finding excuses to not watch the team we’ve all waited for decades to become good. Bring on March 7.
  3. Stop winging, we open the season and open gather round (that Adelaide-Carlton game was electric last year). Its great exposure for the club. I have already booked my tickets for both. And we absolutely want west coast in Perth again because why would you want to waste home ground advantage on them? Being dudded is all relative based on who is actually good during the season as opposed to who you think will be good 5 months before the season starts.
  4. Look it up in google, articles everywhere about it. Basically we are playing Sydney in Sydney on Sunday March 10 whilst the nrl are in Vegas. 3 other games in nsw and qld as well
  5. Why are you complaining about the Gabba and SCG? The fixture has never been about playing every interstate team at their ground in alternating years. Sydney have played us at the G every year since 2011 except 2016.
  6. nah that article said our first MCG game would be against the dogs, not our first game of the year
  7. I would fully expect that we play Richmond on the Wednesday night for Anzac Eve and follow up with a Thursday night trip down to Geelong on the next day.
  8. Yep expect that: We will likely play Carlton and Collingwood twice which would be 3 Friday nights and 1 Monday We want front ended interstate trips so that the back end of the season has less travel and more games at the G/Marvel.
  9. Agreed with all points except the 20K against the eagles at the G. Anzac Eve next year will likely be a 4-day break as it was in 2019 where both sides are made to play on the Saturday before and open the next round on the Wednesday night.
  10. Would argue that we had a pretty good finals campaign in 2021 too hehe.
  11. Should be a stat for noise made by those turning up at games. I know we've never been a loud supporter base and crowds are good enough, but the advantage both Collingwood and Carlton had against us was massive.
  12. We've finished 6th so we are still in the top bracket for fixturing which means we will get 2 or 3 of the top 5 twice. My expectations are Collingwood, Brisbane and Carlton twice from the top bracket, Geelong and Adelaide from the middle bracket and North or Gold coast twice. We will get Geelong twice so they can send us down the highway and get a game at the G against them. Port on the Thursday night of Gather round and potentially West Coast in the Alice to ensure we never get them at the G. 13 games at the G (3 aways being Richmond, Collingwood and Carlton), 1 at Marvel and 1 in Geelong for our 15 Vic games. Wishful thinking that we wont get Geelong at their grotty little pub ground.
  13. Got 6 tickets in the non competing afl gold on sale. I look at it as 6 tickets not available to Collingwood scum.
  14. My top picks would be (and we need to move Stafford on as well): Stewart Dew Brenton Sanderson Joel Selwood (development coach) Todd Goldstein (Bring in as second ruck and move to ruck coach in 2025) Leppitsch (but wishful thinking) Ratten
  15. How many times to do we see Max get assaulted by opposition players all over the ground and nobody goes to help him. Indictment on the club.
  16. Imo Expecting 94, will be more than last week because the neutrals that were put off by the rain will attend. with regards to prelim tickets, the original allocation is split 50:50. They will open up bays at the start of the on sale and we will both have around 5 bays each and they will keep opening new bays when those sell out. As our allocation won’t sell out they will get the extra bays.
  17. Yes but be realistic please, there will have been 3 times the demand from Carlton supporters because they are probably three times the size of us and they are up and about. Think its very reasonable to expect that there would have been more Carlton supporters in the queue
  18. Correct. Initially level 1, 2 and 2A were 50:50 and level 4 was about 60:40 their way. By the end of the on sale it was 70:30 their way because we weren't filling our allocation.
  19. No completely incorrect. afl is 22K of which 5k is medallion club mcc 23k. Club allocation is about 45k and the remaining 5k are corporates. Don’t know where your ga number is coming from there is no GA, there were about 1000 tickets left over from the member allocations and today there were none.
  20. Collingwood would have had 80% of the AFL reserve and we had 80% of the MCC. That's not why the crowd was so one sided. The club allocations start at 50:50 but do not finish at 50:50 because bays get reallocated. Calrton ended up with 70% of the public reserve and so they will have around 70% of the crowd.
  21. In theory they run out of walk up spaces, but pretty sure they will let you in and stand on level 1 because the MCC doesn't sell standing room until the GF.
  22. People reserve on Level 4 but choose to walk up and take a level 1/2/3 seat - hence double dipping because they have two seats and dont use the ones on level 4. As of last year, on Grand Final day, if you were successful in the MCC GF ballot you could not enter the ground until after 12pm. As such, they deactivated the member barcode that was attached to the reserved seat in the ballot. Otherwise, a member with a reserved seat from the ballot could walk up and take a better seat on the day.
  23. Their current system for Grand Finals is that if you have a reserved seat your barcode is deactivated until 12pm so you can't walk up to level 1,2 or 3.
  24. Yep plenty of double dipping in the MCC for both games last week
