2024 Average Crowd Attendance
We still have home games against North/West Coast/Port/GWS and none of those are going to hit 30K plus the usual 13K on the Gold Coast when we go up there and Brisbane could be under 25K this year at the Gabba. Understand we have Essendon and Collingwood as home games but our average attendance is going to drop considerably. We are not big 4. We have our own little place below Collingwood/Carlton/Richmond/Essendon and just below Hawthorn and probably Geelong. As [censored] as it sounds, People are usually right when they say our crowds are bolstered by having home and away games against the big 4.

Ticketing: King's Birthday
Like you, my old man and I walk into 2A for any games against saints/dogs/north/Hawks/Cats or interstate teams and sit in the unused Medallion Club seats. I reserve against the bigger sides and know a few tricks that get me in early for the on sale.

@WalkingCivilWar, has Collingwood confirmed if we have all of M3?

You clearly missed out on the ticketek shenanigans that that country bumpkin Taylor Swifty or something caused.

Some popular singer lol. Olivia Rodrigo is massive currently, but everyone I know who wanted tickets got tickets. The website is archaic and isn't good at all, but I maintain, you just have to learn how to use it because it isn't going to be changing any time soon. The fees are are a separate nonsense, but we have it better than most. $7.70 for servicing fees at Adelaide oval on top of $120 tickets.

The only people who have problems are the people who vent their frustrations here or on various forums. Just like anything else in life, you donโt hear from the people that donโt have problems so it just seems like everything is bad

Ye it seemed like because they didnโt allow guest passes on level 1 that it allowed for most members that wanted level 1 to get level 1. Was amazing how fast level 4 sold because that was where the guests went. hope you make lots of noise in M18, Iโm planning on rustling some feathers in the MCC with some proper barracking.

I get tickets with a 71 year old and if he gets in first he buys them for us and has no problems. people just have to be willing to learn how to use it

Without being difficult, I've never understood how people allow the timer to run down to the point where you get timed out during a payment. If you have 7 minutes, surely that gives you at least 4 minutes to choose your seats and more than enough time to enter your card details?

75%+ of The MCC reserved seats would have been taken up my Melbourne supporters. I got in at 10:02 and it was already selling really well, no surprises that by 10:10โit was single seats only on level 1. was the same for the afl reserve.

suspect 20,000ish of us 60,000 of them and 5k neutrals to get to 85k.

Ticketing: King's Birthday
Yep, was up to standing room only an hour after it went on sale today. Was more than happy with my decision to get level 2 MCC this morning.
-
Ticketing: King's Birthday
Will likely be 15K of us in the MCC, 1-2K in the AFL and 5-10K in the public reserve.
-
Ticketing: King's Birthday
Big difference between 35,000-40,000 of us last year and 20,000 this year

Ticketing: King's Birthday
It was our home game.

Ticketing: King's Birthday
Its so hard to get above 90,000 with corporate entitlements, member reserved seating and the fact that the MCC doesnt sell as much standing room.
-
Ticketing: King's Birthday
zero. Public reserve is sold out but for some standing room, AFL reserve will be sold out by this evening at the rate its gone, MCC will be sold out by the end of the week. I can get MCC guest passes for people still.

Ticketing: King's Birthday
The split is likely going to be 20k max of us and 65-70k of them. Any booing is going to get massively drowned out

First Half Scoring
First quarters against good teams have been a lingering problem now, Kings Birthday last year we gave up a 20-point headstart, against Port last year we didnt kick a goal from open play in the first quarter, round 22 against Carlton last year we gave up 25-4 inside 50s at the start of the game, the QF against the Pies we give them a 13-point start in a game where only 110 points are kicked, Port this year we give a 20-point head-start, Carlton was 36 points 2 weeks ago, even North last year in Hobart had a 30-point lead.

First Half Scoring
Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere and if so please remove. Much gets made of our forward line, the reality is that much needs to be made of our general scoring in first halves. We are essentially on average, a 3 goal better team in second halves than we are in first halves. Just a fun stat, but one that desperately needs to be recitified.

TICKETING 2025
As ****ty as it is (and a lot of us still remember the days where we played in front of 19k at the g against interstate sides and a max of 45k against bigger Melbourne teams) it is the price we have to pay of being involved in a game that is on track to draw 88k+ people. It does also say in the terms and conditions: Additional fees and charges may apply with match access. Entry is subject to capacity and may not be guaranteed.
