Around 55-58K I reckon. Ticket sales are average in the AFL and public reserve but poor in the MCC. They are going to open Q37-Q40 for the general public which I haven't seen at a Melbourne game before.
-
Not sure if been discussed but wanted to say well done Ray Chamberlain. Umpiring his last game on Friday and reckon he's been great value as an umpire. Loves his job, willing to put his neck on the line and speak about decisions that he and his colleagues get wrong on SEN, lovely guy and the game will be a little less without him. Hopefully, nobody responds to this by bashing him, just genuinely like the guy. Well done Razor.

Despite everything going on, great to see so much red and blue on the 6:30am jetstar flight up. Go dees!
-
Can't believe you have heard a Melbourne supporter in the MCC yell. A library in there most weeks. I kinda loved that last Saturday's crowd was just the diehards and made a good noise for what was probably 16k of us. I also never said it's not laughable, it's a [censored] reason but I'm just passing on what others are saying. Doesn't stop some of the usual apologists on this forum from having a hissy fit despite them not attending games either.
-
I never said that, neither of them are going anywhere. My point is that don't bother reading into anything any coach says in a press conference.
-
Simon has always had the ability to say a lot of words that sound good whilst saying absolutely nothing. I would be reading nothing into anything Goodwin/Richardson/Pert says until Petracca/Oliver/Viney are lining up for us in Round 1 next year playing good football.
-
You have stated "Judging her on how she carries herself is irrelevant" I can't be bothered arguing with you if you can't comprehend how ridiculous a comment that is.
-
lol never heard a more incorrect opinion in my life. You are basically saying that it’s ok if the club financials are doing well but everyone in the club hates eachother and are sick of all the off field leaders
-
Based on the last 2 years her ability is clearly lacking.
-
Realistically, there will be maybe 40,000 people there and a max of 10,000 of us given how this season has ended
-
I am SOOOOOO excited for my trip to the Gold Coast. lovely 6:30am flight up into some 10am beers, then 11am beers, then 12pm beers, then an uber to the ground and a cart to take me to surfers for some ribs and beer tasting at house of brews.
-
It’s ok, nobody panic it’s just the whole leadership wanting out.
-
To sum her up, I was at the King's Birthday awards ceremony last year where she received an award. Everyone is very humble and happy to be there and dressed in black tie for the governor. She struts in, in a bright red suit like she was the best thing on the planet. I just reckon that says a lot about a person and who they actually are as a leader.
-
It’s not about a couple of home games, it’s about the agenda to move us to marvel full stop. If that happened (which it won’t) we’d be buggered
-
Comment on Rivers and Tmac is irrelevant because they are both playing good footy after being moved. Petty keeps being [censored] and the coach is now to blame for this. Our fans stop turning up when it gets too hard to go to a game, ie too cold, too wet, too late at night, too early in the day and then more drop off when we stop winning. We are and always have been a fickle fan base. Yep, 8 blokes who normally are locks to go to games refused on Saturday because of goodwin picking favourites like petty and sparrow and then playing them out of position. They aren't the only ones.
-
They can't move Melbourne to Marvel, the club would fold if that happens. We rely heavily on our MCC members and the fabric of the club would be destroyed. The problem is not just the fan base. The problem is that people are sick of watching us play the same boring brand of football and playing players out of position. I know plenty people are refusing to go because Petty is playing as a forward and that's their right.
-
Of right we are back to honourable losses are we? The brand sucks and the fan base is voting with their feet.
-
Well done to the few of us [censored] who continue to go and watch them play a horrible brand of football.
-
The problem with the Corn is that whilst he used to be outlandish he is now pretty reasonable in most things that he says. He is not wrong that Goodwin is going to be under enormous pressure next year. But the contract stuff is laughable, can't be blaming Melbourne that Collingwood players are thugs and a young man (one of the greatest demons ever) goes through a bad patch off field.
-
Nope, its about bringing as many dollars through the door by playing unnecessary additional rounds and an extra finals weekend. Season is 30 weeks, its too bloody long and its costing a fortune now. Reckon my family has spent 15k on them this year.
-
Genuinely think that Andrew Dillon and Laura Kane wake up every Monday and have a meeting discussing how they can annoy as many people as possible. But this is what you get for having a lawyer and a failed North Melbourne football manager running the game. At least Gillon had a personality and Demetriou understood how football works.
-
He's autocratic with the assistant coaches and match committee and its been a known problem going back to 2019.
-
Personally, I dislike the coach very much. Think he’s been autocratic and stubborn the whole time he’s been at the club. BUT. This year he tried to change the way we played and it just didn’t work. He copped it for it failing and tried to go back to what we know works but it was too far gone by that point. The amount of [censored] off field over the last 12 months was too much for any good coach to deal with. Dont forget that Geelong supporters were calling for Scott’s head every year they didn’t win the flag until he won them another one. It does say a fair bit how split the fan base is on the coach, but reckon he deserves another year where the club isn’t falling to pieces off field and injuries don’t cripple our best players.
-
Always like the footballers who we never hear from off the field and just performs exceptionally on the field.
-
We only have to pay him for 6 months. New rule from last year.
