If you are quick enough, you can buy tickets for the games in the same transaction normally.
-
Would have thought the easiest way to do it is to put P1-P4 on sale through Ticketek at $30 a ticket and only available if you put your redlegs/tridents barcodes in?
-
Well if those were the reasons mentioned I wouldn’t have said what I said. But they wernt, it is simply someone who is always so negative on this forum complaining again about not wanting to go to games. In this case, because everyone needs to reserve a seat. Nothing to do with anything else
-
Instead of being your usual pessimistic self why don’t you upgrade your membership for one game and spend $28 to sit in a Melbourne only bay on level 1 biggest home and away game we’ve had since the 60s and you don’t want to be there

Not possible. Bledisloe game is at the mcg on that Saturday night
-
Really good sales in M4 and M54 today, well done so far Dees fans. it is now a ticketed event, everyone needs to upgrade to a reserved seat. Record-Breaking King's Birthday Crowd Expected (melbournefc.com.au)

They vote with their feet. Demonland is a very small subset of Melbourne supporters.

The problem is that we have been "shafted" by events the club can do nothing about. The Adelaide game deserves a Friday night but there are three docklands games that week so one of those has to be Friday night. The Bledisloe cup game being on a Saturday nigth prevented the Richmond game from being a Saturday game so that is why we end up with 5 Sunday games rather than 3.

Fully updated now, loads of Sunday 3:20 games

The Age are currently uploading rounds 16-23 in their Fixture section: Currently confirmed games (which we all sort of knew anyway) Sunday Footy here we come. Round 16: Melbourne v GWS - TP - Sunday 2 July 3:20pm (Channel 7) Round 17: St Kilda v Melbourne - Marvel - Saturday 8 July 7:25pm (Channel 7) Round 18: Melbourne v Brisbane - MCG - Friday 14 July 7:50pm (Channel 7) Round 19: Melbourne v Adelaide - MCG - Sunday 23 July 3:20pm (Channel 7) Round 20: Richmond v Melbourne - MCG - Sunday 30 July 3:20pm ( Channel 7) Round 21: North Melbourne v Melbourne - BA - Sunday 6 august 1:10pm (FOX) Round 22: Carlton v Melbourne - MCG - Saturday 12 August 7:25pm (Channel 7) Round 23: Melbourne v Hawthorn - MCG - Sunday 20 August 3:20pm (Channel 7) Round 24 Sydney v Melbourne TBC (But has to be Saturday or Sunday given we have already had our 5 day break)

As per Kiss of Death's comment, M54 and M4 are now fully on sale to Melbourne members.

Because WA has a different date for the public holiday. The whole point of having it the night before is that the next day is a public holiday so people can get [censored] and have a late night at the footy because they don't have to go to work. Sunday night games don't work when the next day is a work day. They tried it with Carlton and Collingwood in 2014 and it only drew 40k.
-
Like the idea of having a game the night before, but, it’s a public holiday in all other states except WA and QLD. Reckon the game should rotate between Sydney and Adelaide imo. Essendon and Carlton get enough marquee games.

The Melbourne Supporter allocation now has about 150 seats available in M53 for Kings Birthday. $38 to upgrade.

Yes that is going to be the case. We only get cheaper tickets, not first dibs. But on Anzac eve I would say 30% of the reserved seat areas (excluding our member reserved seat areas) were dees fans which is more than usual. GA on level 4 that night was completely red as was the MCC. We also have an extra 3 bays of reserved seating on level 1 this year (m13, m53 and m4) which are all sold out for KB and that makes a big difference. i think the crowd will be 45k of them, 40k of us and 5k neutrals. Unfortunately 45k of them make a hell of a lot more noise than 40k of us. i know I’m usually pessimistic about our supporters turning up but we’ve always outnumbered them at our home Queens birthday games and Anzac eve was a really good sign. So for me we can max out at 40k of us for non finals or flag unfurlings and I think that will be the case for round 13. Unfortunately for AFL members like myself it is going to be an absolute zoo surrounded by their most incoherent supporters in the afl reserve.
-
First point is that I have never seen so many reserved seats sold a month before a game for a Melbourne ever. They are at row AA level 4 in the Olympic stand for bays Q49-Q55 with Q56-57 sold out. they are selling up to row V in the southern stand for Q5-Q15 and up to row Q for Q1-4. afl and mcc go on sale next Tuesday with both expected to sell out given our mcc support and their afl members. as a guess I would say GA areas are going to be Q31-Q36 rows AA-MM and Q1-Q4 rows T-DD. probably 87-89k for me

The funny thing with melbourne supporters is that 99% of us want games to be Saturday 2:10pm or Sunday 1:10pm and not prime time night games. (I don't care, id be at the game if it was at 3am) We are likely to have a Friday night against Brisbane, Saturday night against St Kilda and Carlton. Saturday arvo against Adelaide, Hawthorn and North and Sunday arvo against Richmond. Personally I think our game against Adelaide deserves Friday night, but the Pies are going to get it that week and I think the Richmond game may end up Friday night as well (Collingwood v Carlton often ends up as the Sudnay 3:20pm).

Ye there is a Fixture thread that discusses it :)

Regular Melbourne members (excluding AFL members, MCC members and 3 game members) can add a GFG to their membership. It costs $295 but would likely have already been sold out. This is separate to Legends, Tridents, Redlegs and Demon Seats Plus members who already have the GFG in their membership
-
More likely that we were involved in a garbage game against a team that doesn't metter. You will hear plenty about Melbourne games when we play Port, Carlton, Collingwood, Geelong in the next 6 weeks if we start losing
-
Are you talking about adding a grand final guarantee to your membership? No way to "pre-purchase" through a membership. The only way that is possible is buying one of the AFL hospitality packages for the grand final (starts at about $1.2K)
-
You had to request it with your membership when we were sent the sign up emails, am sure you can still do it in the afl membership portal. If not call the membership department at 9am and you’ll get through easily
-
It is so hard to get to 90K these days but reserved seat sales are about 3 weeks ahead of where Anzac Eve reserved seats were at. I think it will be 87.5K-90K
-
There are no bays available at the moment for Melbourne members to upgrade to, M4 may be available closer to the game but is unlikely.
