Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
"Threw away" to get GC F1 in the Petracca deal you mean?

New Rules For AFL 2026 - All SEVEN of ‘em!
That could make for some comical wrestling engagements where Nank wrestles Heath in our forward line who doesn't go for the the throw in and JVR gets the hit out. Heath says "I was never in the ruck contest, he's holding the man". I think nomination is required.

New Rules For AFL 2026 - All SEVEN of ‘em!
No I haven't. I'm probably looking at the centre square match ups at the next bounce (RIP) or some stat on the AFL app or day dreaming as is often the case ...

Forward Coach
I don't know ... but Bassett has gone and Rivers has arrived so I'm guessing Rivers is backline coach. Chaplin is retained so I'm guessing he's forward line coach again, what else? Jones has been reffered to as midfield coach and Atkins has just arrived and I doubt it's as forward line coach. Scarlett to assist Rivers and Hawkins to assist Chaplin.

I never even knew about the goal square rule in 6-6-6 😀

Josh Lindsay
NWM, Ash, D.Rioli, N.Martin, Amon, Blakey, Noble, Impey ...

Josh Lindsay
I watched 5 minutes of highlights and I shouldn't because I'm a hopeless judge of junior talent, but I didn’t see him run with ball at all and that concerns me for the role he plays. Yes nice, quick distribution over varying distances which is very good and "first option" is a great mindset. But I also want to see some line breaking 80-90m run and kick plays mixed in there too for the role.

2026 AFL Free Agents
IMO we should continue to focus on Bailey Humphrey despite having to trade for him. Let other clubs battle it out for these guys.

2026 AFL Free Agents
So in other words you'd get rid of Chandler, Fritsch and Sparrow? Seriously, there is no way any of them are staying on 2 year contracts.

Will we delist and re-rookie?
The points discount is 10% but then it's locked in at 195pts after round 1. Pick 43 is worth 184pts, so from there the discount outweighs the cost so no picks are required to match. 37 to 43 is a tight window so we'd have to be very unlucky, mind you 37 should come in a fair way as picks get eaten up matching bids, so the window will be wider.

Sullivan Robey
Robey presented well on Gettable, very confident but not arrogant. I like his Eastern jumper number too. Hopefully if we get him he retains it.

But do two Whites make it wrong?

Two at present and they're both from WA. We've got Lingers.

Yes I feel very similar. Except I've liked Freo, at least partly because they're not WC. Why aren't you keen?

Realistic 23 for 2026
A bit much Bowey...

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I was expanding on the idea if we really want to trade up for Robey in my head, which might be partly activated by not loving the talent at 7 and 8 ... From above: Our F1 + 7 to WC for 2 + 13 That leaves us with 2, 8, 13 and GC F1 Then if we did 8 to Port for their F1 that would leave us with 2, 13, Port F1, GC F1 which is a better spread. All along we'd have to love Robey and Port would have to love an SA prospect. I agree with others that the neatest outcome would be to use 7 and 8, and retain the two F1s for next year for another hit at Humphrey or to take to a better draft. But I was just speculating alternatives.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
There are quite a few SA prospects in Twomey's top 30. Five in the first 20 and nine in the first 30. I think that's a lot more than usual and SA won the championship, unbeaten. It's a curious position for Port to take.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Nothing. I'm assuming Port finish in a similar ladder position and the next draft is stronger. Port's F1 for 7 or 8.

Farewell Christian Petracca
The alternatives are far less desirable. I'm grateful Oliver and Petracca didn't go to any of them. That would have been a hard watch.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I wonder if Port would do F1 for 7 or 8 to get access to Schubert or Marsh?

Farewell Clayton Oliver
And not just to Coaches

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I like GWS, if we couldn't win the flag, I've hoped they do. That stays the same with Clarry at the club. I hope they win the flag and Clarry takes the Norm Smith. I'm less enthusiastic about Gold Coast.

I like GC, but I think I'll like them a bit less next year.
