GC do draft them, then they leave for "home" and GC get more draft picks. They have picks out the ying-yang, they're not as valuable to them as players are, that's why they'll pay what seems to be a high price for other clubs but isn't for them.

If Brisbane demand more we could swap F3s. Brisbane should think that's in their favour. Should be able to get done.

We could do a future pick swap. A swap of F2s and/or F3s could probably benefit GWS. Alternatively we could do 9 for 15 + 21 + Derksen if we wanted to get radical.

I hope when we win the flag next year the contribution of pick 46 gets acknowledged.

If Derksen doesn't come which looks likely, I think we'll need to keep one of Tomlinson or Hore. Tomlinson gets a bit of a bad rap, he's almost never injured, never drops his head at Casey, comes in a plays a role when needed. It seems like he's good for "kulcha". He'd only get a year and can probably get more elsewhere so we may end up renewing Hore.

Good post but we've actually currently only got 4 vacancies, not 7. KFW doesn't count because he was a B Rookie, Mentha may fill that slot. That’s 6. Kentfield arrived mid season as a Rookie for Gus and McVee has been promoted so that's another off your 7. That's 5. Tomlinson hasn't gone yet. That's 4.

We'll either take DFAs (I think Parfitt would be useful) or Rookies (but we're full there unless we delist Hore so we'd need to promote someone). We can also draft at the end of the ND to fill spots even though we've traded 3rd and 4th rounders, next round picks just come in.

Seems strange for Adelaide with Peatling to get done, 46 could have been useful. 46 + F2 for Peatling + GWS F2 sounds about right to me.

I think that means we'll get a F3 back in the deal so we have a full suite of futures beyond the F1 that's going. The only other path I can see is F3 from Collingwood for Tomlinson and that seems unlikely.
