  1. So we'll be expecting to see you nude up this Sunday then.
  2. http://www.theage.co...0819-24gto.html MELBOURNE v GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY David Polkinghorne Toby Greene (Greater Western Sydney) 8 Jeremy Howe (Melbourne) 7 Luke Power (Greater Western Sydney) 7 Jake Spencer (Melbourne) 7 Lynden Dunn (Melbourne) 7

  4. Yeah me either. And I agree with point 2.
  5. Funny what people hear - I heard exactly the opposite.
  6. Bomber: http://www.sportsnew...s-fitness-boss/
  7. In the absence of a new key forward I like Rivers in this role. If Clark and Jurrah were playing Rivers provides decent option.
  8. I don't think BP's drafting has been as bad as many here make out. There's a lot of water to pass under the bridge. Gysberts, Cook and Bennell might be misses but everyone makes them, even if we don't value them we could convert them to trade value and they may prosper elsewhere. I've got no problems with the Watts, Scully and Trengove picks. Blease, Strauss and Tapscott have been significantly hindered in their development and can still deliver on their rating. Later picks Howe and McDonald are very good. Gawn, Fitzpatrick, Jetta, Nicholson, and Evans can also deliver on their rating. He picked Jurrah. There's a stampede to prematurely condemn.
  9. I'm saying Martin for Caddy straight swap, not pick 13 + Martin.
  10. Martin is surplus IMO. He's hopeless forward. Jamar is #1 ruck and Spencer is his depth. Clark is forward-ruck and that's why we need to solve the extra key forward problem. There's no way Jamar, Martin, Clark and another key forward are all in the 21. Fitz is ahead of Martin forward.
  11. I'd trade Martin for Caddy.
  12. Rivers is a free agent - we can't trade him - if PA want him and he wants them, he can just go there - gratissimo
  13. define "happy enough" happy enough to do a little jig? happy enough not to top myself? happy enough not to top Sheedy?
  14. "oh gee I was so taken aback when Brock said he left MFC because they tanked that I didn't think to ask him why he went to Carlton" Sheahan's a liar or an idiot - or most likely both.
  15. Brought up to hate Collingwood, learned through my own experience to hate "Essadun"
  16. Hoping Freo replaces Essendon (and the loss to us costs them their finals berth) and yes WC v Freo in week 1 would be outstanding!
  17. Top of the tipping and think GWS has last sewn up even if they win this week ... OK
  18. Fitness and defensive ethic.
  19. It's been suggested that there could be 10-12 changes to our list next year, that could be understating it, particularly with the rookie list to be cut by 2. Not all of this will happen but it's possible (I'm assuming we re-sign Blease, Strauss, Spencer and Bail as reported): Out (11-17): FA (3-5): Green, Rivers, Moloney, Dunn, Bate (a couple may stay) Trade (2): Gysberts, Cook - probably have trade value Delist (4-8): Bartram, Bennell, Petterd, Jurrah, Macdonald, Sellar, Jetta, Davis (maybe half will stay and some may be tradable e.g. Warnock) Rookie delist (2): Couch, Lawrence In (15): Draft (7): 3, 4, 13, 30, 48, 66, 84 - some of these will be trades for more mature players e.g. Boak, Caddy FA (3): Cloke, ???, ??? Trade (2): players for Gysberts and Cook rather than picks - we've already got plenty and Neeld wants more maturity Rookie promotion (2*): Nicholson, Evans (retain Magner, Sheahan, Williams) Rookie draft (3): 3, 21, 39 (Bartram and Bennell might be re-drafted because they're injured) Morton, Sylvia, Davey and Fitzpatrick are all contracted but aren't locks to be at the club next year.
  20. No lose situation - he's increasing his market value.
  21. If the info did come from the club it may have been planned - it's consistent with the 100% Melbourne campaign to raise funds for a massive tilt at FA - show supporters we're serious about this.
  22. Jetta and Cook - both out of contract aren't anywhere on Niall's list. If the info came from the club why would they be missing? Far more likely to have come from a player manager who manages a number of the players and talked to other managers about the situation and filled in some of the gaps.
  23. You're at it again but you left out "bed-wetter, jack-booted toe-cutter and baby-eating cannibal".
