  1. Yeah I get it, the usual suspects backtracking on their "OMac has no AFL attributes" line and now it's "He was misused by Goodwin" It's like shooting fish in a barrel.
  2. Well that sounds like a sensible choice. But how about you leave off and let the rest of us who are excited to see MFC at the MCG for the first time in 18 months enjoy it?
  3. Hey old mate - are you going?
  4. He's their only tall emergency. Oscar is tall depth at Carlton. People here talk him up as being a capable AFL player. Like Mitch Brown and Majak Daw.
  5. "Still, a man hears what he wants to hear And disregards the rest" Simon's press conference was absolutely fine to me. He was smiling, upbeat and positive. From much the commentary here I was expecting a Rhyce Shaw 2020 performance.
  6. The Ponsford could be nice and cool if it is 27C as predicted. The PRE can get pretty warm this time of year.
  7. Against coaches who were in the job for the entire 4 years so far, Goodwin is 0-5 vs Hardwick 1-5 vs Scott 1-4 vs Longmire 2-4 vs Simpson 2-4 vs Buckley 2-3 vs Hinkley 2-2 vs Fagan 2-2 vs Cameron 3-2 vs Clarkson 3-2 vs Beveridge 3-1 vs Worsfold 5-0 vs Dew
  8. Malty still salty about how his glowing Mark Neeld reference turned out at MFC. He hates us.
  9. Williams was very positive about Weid - comparing him to early Tredrea and Chad Cornes. Brendan McCartney was also a big Weid fan. I'm keen to see what he can produce this year.
  10. I wonder if anyone pulling a 4 week hamstring will hit their head on the way down and be out with concussion?
  11. Upcoming Practice Matches Northern Bullants - Saturday 20th Mar @ Casey Fields - same day as MFC plays North Melbourne - Saturday 27th Mar @ Casey Fields - same day as MFC plays TBC - Saturday 3rd - day before MFC plays Williamstown - Saturday 10th April @ Casey Fields - day before MFC plays
  12. There's an emergency every week that's held over for the match in case there's illness overnight or an injury in warm up. This is a non issue.
  13. Seriously, do you think Max called Peter Ryan and said "I'm angry and I'm not going to take it anymore"? Most likely Ryan called the club looking for a pre-season story and we provided the captain for comment. What do you want him to say? "Feeling pretty good, looking forward to cashing the next 4 year's paychecks" Same on the Lumumba comments. Does anyone actually think Max raised this? More likely Ryan said "You played with Heretier, what did you make of him in the news?"
  14. I think there's a good argument for being allowed to use the sub during the 20 mins concussion assessment so this doesn't disadvantage the team. Then if the player is OK the sub is withdrawn and play on as usual, but if not OK then the sub stays in and the 12 days concussion leave comes in.
  15. It would be pretty good to hear "Number 28 - Majak Daw" on GF day.
  16. No draftees from 2016 but you neglect to say first pick was #46 You also neglected to say that we've still got 10 players from 2017 and 2018 drafts on the list and the first pick there was #27. Small players? Have you seen the 3 Richmond Premiership teams in action?
  17. The culture McClure and co set at Carlton hasn't served them too well since then. The 1995 flag side was the last gasp of that era and since then they've been at least as bad as us. You could replace Melbourne with Carlton in his comments.
  18. I think we can reasonably expect to add Oliver, Brayshaw, Melksham, Salem and Pickett to the team that played the Dogs - they are some handy ins. I'm not sure where the Hibberd "test" is coming from - he's listed as "TBA" on the AFL website and seems to have been in rehab for an extended period so I'm not expecting him to play early.
  19. So Jackson, Pickett, Rivers and Bowey can all play. Have you made your mind up about Laurie and Rosman yet? But we should get rid of Jason Taylor? OK ...
  20. Pickett rubbish you say? OK we'll see how you go with that one ...
  21. Look to be fair I think @Elegt once said that Oliver can play ...
  22. B: Rivers May Lever HB: Salem Tomlinson Hunt C: Langdon Petracca Melksham HF: Jones TMac ANB F: Jackson Fritsch Pickett R: Gawn Oliver Harmes I: Brayshaw, Jordon/Sparrow, Jetta/Bowey, Spargo/Chandler I'd like to bite the bullet and bring Petty in as soon as possible and that would also free Tomlinson up to pinch hit but we'll probably stick with the current backline set-up particularly against Freo who are short of tall forward options. We need to see Brayshaw, Pickett, Melksham and maybe Salem get a successful solid hit-out with Casey v Box Hill this weekend. Viney is confirmed out, Hibberd hasn't got near fitness, I just can't have Baker or AVB in the side.
  23. I'm hoping they play Melksham there - he put in a big pre-season of running with Jones at TBO and has the attributes to play well in the role. Has been training with the midfield group. His kicking would be a nice contrast to Langdon's.
  24. Yeah the FD and list management you love to malign replaced Dunn, Frost and OMac with May, Lever and Petty. While all of the first 3 do have some AFL attributes, I think that's pretty good going. Maybe you have no AFL understanding attributes?
