THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES
dworship replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
In an unrelated but Government flavored approach to this (cheating), does anyone have any knowledge about how clubs are required to pay or claim tax/GST on Club business. We see annual reports and profit and loss statements for Clubs but how would the bills be payed and subsequent claims be substantiated. I'd love the ATO to be able to investigate some of the claims. Try telling them "we don't have any records" -
Actually, Spencil was the best big man in that game in MHO
-
Not so, I know some diehards who do that

Sounds like a young Nathan Jones

http://live.fanfooty.com.au/game/matchcentre.html?id=5115 I don't know where your stats come from but I have Bail with 5K 2M & a behind from 57% playing time and NO clangers. And McKenzie with 5K 5H 1M 1T 2CP and 2 clangers from 52% playing time. I think Paul Roos knows what we get from both players and when HE decides they get less time on the ground it will be for a reason. In the mean time ALL our players need some lovin, a Maggot. Before anyone starts on Jordie; Tyson and H had 4 clangers each. I'm just sayin'

Nice BB, I was there and didn't like the dogs come back but after looking at the various factors I started to realise we will have got a lot out of the second half. I'm pretty confident Roos wanted to see something other than what the first half offered and it was the ideal time to do it. People also need to look at Roos approach to pre season games while at Sydney. As a side note, I was very disappointed to see Vanders come off and play no further part. I saw the look on his face and he was filthy.

Open training miscommunication - another MFC unforced error
dworship replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree with your comments about missed opportunities. However, I think you both missed the point of my post. I can't really see PJ making the comments being attributed to him and if he did say that then he has diminished his standing in my eyes. $1000 really? -
I keep being drawn back to this thread and always find I'm several pages behind. But I cannot help myself and find myself analyzing the arguments and comments and questioning why I would so like to see another teams supporters pain. I've come to the realization that I just hate their smugness and the fact a large number that I know and some that I call friends have rubbed my nose in it for years! The scheisse I've copped for the 2000 GF, the comeback in 92, the tanking saga. If Essendon supporters suffer a little, maybe it will teach them a little humility, I know it's had an effect on me. Just for the record, I hate the smugness of Collingwood and Hawthorn supporters too! Carlton supporters have had a dose of reality and Richmond supporters are just feral. ( Apologies to anyone who has a partner who supports Richmond, then again, you make a bed)

I have the utmost respect for what PJ has already done for the MFC and I have difficulty reconciling this reply with his approach. I would of thought he would say "We missed an opportunity, I'll fix it" -
Melbourne v Fremantle @ Fremantle Oval - 5th March, 2015

Have you got any idea what a comma is? -
My mistake, nothing to see here, move along

It's coming up to Easter and I'm starting to think the AFL are playing Herod
-
The context is often adversarial, the tone is often sarcastic.
-
Best be a little cautious using the learned reference, some of them may actually know the context in which this is often said.
-
Perhaps the 8 not charged? Somehow they found the evidence for these players?
-
Argument is not the ideal system to determine truth but it is the system we have been indoctrinated in. It does serve it's purpose as long as the sides listen and accept that the other position could be correct. Watch out when emotion, parochialism and tribalism take over.
-
If we can go back to the 8 players who weren't duped, I'd say there must be solid evidence that proves they didn't take a banned substance. Why can't the other players prove this? By extension; they took something and if they cannot prove what, then they are guilty.

One of which will be Anzac Day, I'm really not looking forward to seeing the cheats out there basking in the emotion of that day.

So out of everyone who has responded so far, who has attended 5 training sessions or more?
