  1. It will be interesting, the other scenario for us is; Max doesn't need the same rest because of the shortened quarters . He will need some rest but why can't he switch with TMac as he has in the past. This also gets TMac more involved in the game. The biggest issue I have with the interchange at the moment is Mids. I think we have to include Sparrow for that to work. The bench would be made up of 3 forwards if we go down the path being suggested.
  2. "Oh Picket"; said in Gawny's "Google" ad style.

No, and if you look closely at him during the broadcast he is a little too satisfied with his own commentary. This would be the same Whateley that did 2 episodes of AFL 360 recently with that other mupput Robocop. Robocop showing serious signs of "illness" proceeded to cough and splutter during the episodes and proceeded to wipe his hands across Whateley's face. Whateley just giggled in his normal fashion, great look..Not. Public transport hasn't been suspended, every school hasn't been closed and workplaces haven't been closed. The bans have only been applied to gatherings above 500. An AFL match without spectators would be well below that. In the AFL's favour the Club's have acted early to isolate themselves from potential exposure unlike the NRL. It's already been stated that the first player to test positive will suspend the season. Let Whateley have the courage of his convictions, stop broadcasting and suspend all AFL 360 episodes but I have never expected credibility from muppets.

This is one of those times WYL where you need to recognise you are just adding to the panic of the general public. I know you have an opinion but your emotion is skewing everything. Go back and read what Trashy posted. He wasn't advocating that a few AFL players become infected nor was he saying that would be ok for the sake of entertainment. In typical fashion you have put on your ABC persona, mounted your white stead and proceed to lecture all and sundry. Trashy had a go at me about being self-righteous, you make me look like an amateur. Don't bother replying and trying to justify yourself, that might save you from more ridicule. Yes, I understand what exponential means and potentially where this virus could lead. AFL teams are the least of our worries if Binman's prediction of "by October at least half of all Australians will have been infected." I don't know what the final outcome will be and nor do you or Binman but lecturing people about "growing up" serves no real purpose. Yes , yes, now I sound like I'm lecturing, cue the normal posters who will feel that they will need to point that out.
  5. I'm pretty sure the first thing he did when he got his new contract there was to fix his teeth ...... don't know why he bothered, no one there would notice.
  6. So you're saying you haven't bought a Membership this year? And don't intend to? Mind you that could turn out to be a saving the way the virus stuff is heading
  7. I was talking to a friend today, about what I call the fuzzy logic going around. What miraculous event occurs on Anzac Day?
  8. If I'm going to Bolt's page I'm hoping there is hand sanitiser available.
  9. Might finally have a use for the Herald Sun

I'm pretty sure it's targeted at a different demographic to the average Demonlander.
  11. Mrs W said tonight "well I hope we get our money back". She changed her tune when I said the Club will need that money and I'm happy for them to keep it.
  12. Not exactly true, and then there is the Hospitality boxes at the back. One was full of Woods supporters during a QB game and they had the front windows open and were giving us an earful. That was until we came back and won in the last qtr. They closed the windows.
  13. Nothing wrong with that, I don't see you on here talking about how krap the Club is.
  14. To be clear Ding; I wasn't having a go at people who don't commit to the Club by buying a membership. I was suggesting that if you don't buy one you shouldn't winge and moan and bag the Club.
  15. Yes it was a bad year but do you really think the Club was trying to pizz ever member and supporter off? It was what it was, I will only judge the Club on what I've seen to date and that has been very positive from an endeavour point of view. While I think it's every persons right to decide where to spend their hard earned, I do get a little churlish when those people won't commit to the Club but will continue to bad mouth it. If you can't or won't commit then I don't think your entitled to continually run down the Club. I admire the sentiment in the title for this thread and the Pig and Chicken commitment analogue comes to mind. I expect to receive the normal biased retort from some on here but I'm extraordinarily thick skinned.
  16. Actually I'm not fussed. It is easier than talking up to people. I have to admit to being bored, bored, bored and can't wait for the real stuff to start. I find myself trawling through posts at the moment looking for every titbit/ morsel of information that gives context or insight into what is happening with the Club. I will admit to winding a few people up and that's an interesting tactic I used in negotiations and management in general. It's not always pleasant for the person on the other end but it is often instructive and helps with figuring out what peoples traits are, the information they have and the way in which they think about things. As to this thread; I've been over your posts and your original premise/question and I'm perplexed. You wanted me to be more insightful regarding the game plan/style and I tried to point out (not clearly, obviously) that Goody has stated ad nauseam that the plan/style will be based on "contested football". The closest I've seen him spell out the "plan" is with his comments and Burgess's comments at the Forum. There has been consistent messaging and given what we have seen in practice to date, there is evidence of it being adopted. I don't know if you watched or listened to all the info put out by the Club but you seem (yes, that's an assumption) to have focused on the way Goodie is now telling the fans what the team is doing and how the plan will be recognisable. In your subsequent posts you have even acknowledged where there is evidence the improvements to the basic strategies and tactics are being implemented. If we go through Binger's post with the dot points that identify failures during last year and to some extent in 2018, I hope everyone can see what is being done to address those areas. The one remaining area that some believe hasn't been addressed is the forward entries. While I would like to see some improvement in this area I believe it is a work in progress and it is something we are actively addressing. Frankly, as long as we are hitting some of the targets and continue our forward entry dominance and the forward retention is ramped up, the results should take care of themselves. If you've read this far then I hope you've a better understanding of where I was coming from. You don't seem to have had the same trouble with Wise so I hope your not to upset with me continuing his analogue. The questions around the divulging of "The Plan" just seems illogical to me and serves no real purpose. The basics have been explained, there is evidence of implementation and the next phase is to see what the results are. A petulant 5yr old would stamp the feet and demand more detail about forward entries but what purpose would it serve? I did question myself regarding what I had originally posted and it wasn't meant to be particularly offensive. I did find your attack on me mildly amusing, especially as you don't seem to go in for proof reading. "The game style has cleary moves well beyond that this season". "Perhaps you should try paying attention". Someone help me out here, would this fit as an oxymoron? My Mum always said "Don't play with what you can't afford" Now that would be "condescending". Go Dees
  17. Does anyone know if we sent any scouts across to watch the WC V Freo game?
  18. Actually, I want to know how at the end of 360 plus degrees you can then release the ball straight out over the boundary line but it isn't deliberate. Oh well, it's a practice game for Umpires too. As long as they're not practicing being inept.
  19. There is a reason, even his friends call him "Purple"
  20. That is a really good comment. So many people are mislead by " media editing" (no offence meant to the ABC)
  21. And then right at the end I saw that little bit of him moving on and almost that "I'll Bleed Red and Blue attitude.
  22. Thank you JC WB finally someone who gets it. For clarification; it is still based on "Contested Footy", if you cannot see that then you haven't been paying attention. It has been tweaked and assisted by the use of great aerobic outside runners. There are other improvements. It would not be in the Club's best interest for Goody to come out and say we are going to do this or that as it leaves the window open for too many members of the media and the supporter group to criticise and harp on if in their opinion X didn't happen. That kind of criticism often occurs without context and focuses on what the Coach said last ( you just watch what happens to Hinkley and how distracting it becomes to PA, unless they are super competitive.) To paraphrase Chookrat; less words are preferable, just do! Pretty sure that will be recognizable.
  23. I'm a bit confused, are you saying you're "The Answer", "pay em out early" or what?
