TMac ! 6-6-6 is great for sides like us. We get the quick centre clearance and score. Rinse repeat is ideal. Worst case, we turn the aftermath of the bounce into one long defensive slog until we get the goal and have the chance to take advantage of 6-6-6 again.

Fritta! That's the soulcrusher we needed to turn a dour defensive performance into a lockout in the making.

Having trouble locking the ball in our forward line, to state the obvious.

Port just resorting to long bombs from outside 50, planning to get over the top of us one point at a time. It'll work if we can't score again.

Hunt's defensive acts are good but his disposal is awful.

Can't complain about that quarter. Would have loved another goal or two, but a perfect defensive quarter. Hunt, Tomlinson not quite too the level IMO Brayshaw impeccable. Great to have Lever back, even if he's not touching the ball too much. Haven't conceded a goal with him in the side all year.

Momentum is such a massive thing in AFL these days. Even going back to the first game of the year. Not sure why, but whichever team can minimise the damage when the opposition has the momentum will go a long way to winning enough games to make the 8/4/2, then winning the big one.

I reckon BT has definitely toned down his nutso look-at-me commentary from previous years. Whether it's a direction from the higher-ups, or that brief stay at hospital last year, he's much more bearable to listen to as well this year.

He reminds me of Sandy Roberts before Sandy lost his marbles in the later years at Fox.
