Farewell Jesse Hogan
Someone should tell Jesse to pack his bags then. JH: "Loving Melbourne. Just got my license, my team's winning every week. And I get to swim in money. Sucks I got injured though. Ooh! A squirrel (Jesse's not bright)." JC: "I haven't ruled out Jesse joining the Dockers." JH: "Aww shucks! Do I have to go?!?!"

If it's the incident I'm thinking of, he brought it on himself. It was a top-of-the-ladder clash between them and us at the G in 05/ or 06(?), and we were losing but gamely trying to get back in it. Cue Neitz lining up some West Coast schmuck. Nailed him, but got himself even worse. I don't think either player played for the rest of the day. I'd say West Coast won that exchange, and the game too.

I was there, and though I've done my best to block the day out I seem to recall that it was straight after White and King had engaged in a ruck contest. Neither won the ball, and White bent down bravely to get it, while King just threw his boot at the general area of the ball. Nailed White so bad I though he'd be disfigured forever. The most sickening injury I've seen, and I saw Nathan Brown break his leg.

Just Chillin
My IQ is checkers too but I'm gonna go on a marathon on Friday. Might even watch a bit of the Hawthorn game from 2016 (that's never going to get deleted). I've got a bunch of leave days saved up so I'm all set to burn one on the Dees before heading out there with my mum and her partner for (hopefully) a night of a lifetime (well, of a dozen years at least).

Most Quarters Won in 2018
That's a serious stat…but almost a quarter of it comes from that 3 week period where we were winning against Adelaide and Carlton by infinity points and knocking on the door of 2007 Geelong's all-time quarters won in a row record. Still, it's a nice stat to go in with. Clean up those runs of goals against us (which we've done quite well particularly with Frost into the side and Gawn playing a more defensive role), and we'll be every chance to keep our opponents to a nice low score while we kick a ton every week.

Key tactical issues v Geelong
These juicy words come to you courtesy of Turbocat from the Geelong quarter of Bigfooty: Wouldn't mind a cigar and a brandy come 11pm on a Friday night next week…

2018 All-Australian Thread
Add a bit of sepia and Clarry looks straight out of those vintage 1950s Melbourne premiership photos.

Lucky Carlton. But give 'em a priority pick anyway.

Bernie Vince Retires
What chance Bernie comes in for the grannie should we make it? Almost none, I know…but I want to see that photo of Lewis holding up the 5 fingers, with Jones, Viney, Gawn, Clarry, and Bernie in the foreground holding up the 1.

If Clarry CHOO CHOO DOESNT make AA I will..
Interesting that the kit is MFC prescribed, but just like on gameday, the boots are "bring your own".

Favourite Current Dee
Tom McDonald. Hence my avatar. Looks like me. Plays like I wish I could play if I were a little taller. Actually plays like my dad a bit, from all reports. So basically, I'm a narcissist.

…be a bit miffed for a moment but then remind myself that I get to watch him play next week so it doesn't matter.

Just Chillin
Hope you find a bit of time to watch Tom McDonald (you genius) go around in 2017.

Petracca in a rut?
I get the feeling he thinks he's better than he is, and when that illusion is shattered he panics.

Petracca in a rut?
He's not actually awful. He's just fricken frustrating. Ever since his first game we all could see what he was capable of. He's so far off that it's not funny. The fact that 50% of his max (which is what I think he's at right now) is serviceable is a tribute to how good he could be. Awful was just hyperbole obviously. I didn't mean it.

Possibly the first Email 90% of our list has ever gotten too.

1,000 Hit Outs
It's not just 1000 taps to random spots/his feet. It's 900 taps to advantage and 100 to 50/50s.

The Importance of Jordan Lewis
If he didn't know how to tap the ball to the advantage of his teammates when he falls to ground or is outpaced by his opponent, he'd have finished up years ago. He's good at that though, and combined with his good game sense, off-field leadership and occasional smart ball use he's s handy player for us for sure.
