  1. Yeah. But there's something weird about the way he moves. He's all hunched over or something. Or is it just me?
  2. I think consensus is he's beyond terrible.
  3. Where Chris Connolly comes from is unimportant. His match-day skills and people skill are. I think Neale Daniher shares many of Connolly's ability in this regard.
  4. He showed me that in the first quarter yesterday. His pressure in that quarter was really very good for a big guy. Four tackes from Juice in the first quarter was great to see.
  5. Ever heard of letting sleeping dogs lie?
  6. Totally right. Perhaps it's not enough for the hardcore supporters to just go every week. Perhaps we also need to actively recruit unaligned and lapsed supporters too.
  7. I am a fan of Neale's and think he'll be as good for West Coast as Chris Connolly is for us.
  8. He got my 6 votes. I thought he was great. As good as Morton was, Brucie was better. It's just because he's older that we don't all jizz in our pants when he puts in a good one.
  9. Yup. a few people have gotta stand up and have about 10 kids.
  10. Well I'm a younger supporter. I'm 19 and go every week, very often by myself. I could go with my grandfather and sit up on the second tier in the MCC members with a thermos and a wool blanket, or I could sit in the rain with the cheer squad and scream my guts out. In my opinion, there is an older "toffee" generation, but it may be disappearing as the next generation of supporters come in. Unfortunately, there aren't really enough Melbourne supporters my age to make a difference.

    Brad Green

Perhaps you're right. Actually, on thinking about it, I would not actively trade Green. I'd only talk to another club if Green wanted to move.

    Brad Green

I love Brad Green to death and would be sad to see him go. In saying that, I also think that he's one of the only guys we have that we could get a high draft pick for. Put it this way, I'm certain that if we trade Brad Green for a high pick, we will win a premiership within the next 4 years.
  13. Totally agree. However, I think this thread will quickly deteriorate into a slinging match between those who think he'll be great and those who who think he'll only be good. "He's so agile for a big man," they'll say. "Yeah, but he's practically a hindrance in the ruck," the others will reply. "No way. His taps to advantage are at x percent. He's the next Cox" "Not a chance. He just doesn't have a real position . . ." And so on, and so on, ad infinitum.
  14. Sarcasm anyone?
  15. Yeah, I know. I was just asking if I remembered correctly about Gehrig. When did Lloyd do it?
  16. Just like me. See, this is the kind of supporter I'm talking about. One who is a huge Demon fan but more than that, loves the game enough not to ruin it complaining about perceived corruption.
  17. That's a joke, right?
  18. But he did it in the Preliminary Final against Port Adelaide, didn't he? I'm talking about a home-and-away game in which two players on opposing teams both got the ton.
  19. Let's try to leave that in the past, shall we?
  20. Looked to me like he started to do that on Saturday. Only problem is he's got a long finger and a big butt.
  21. I'd only take Watts if we can't get an assurance from (1st option) Rich or (2nd option) Naita that there won't be a 'go-home' factor for either of them. The last thing I want is for a reverse Chris Judd situation to happen
  22. Add to that Grimes and Miller, and our leadership stocks suddenly don't to bad.
  23. Has one game of footy ever had two players from opposite teams kick a ton?
  24. Welcome back, buddy. It'd be good to go out with a win against 9thmond, but they did well today against Tassie.
  25. Good analysis. There's no doubting they'll be in trouble in years to come if Wells and others are unable to replace the older stars.
