  1. Wrong Kent. Unfortunately Clark's out of the side. Coincidence . . . or something else?
  2. I've been one of his biggest critics, but he's really wiped out his nonchalant attitude over the past couple of weeks. His higher intensity is really showing. Good on him for turning it around.
  3. So much hate for this post.
  4. Jamar and Watts out? The haters must be very happy.
  5. That's exactly what it is. Even James Frawley said it after the Round 1 game against Port Adelaide. After seeing tape of him going half-heartedly in a chase, he said something to the effect of "I thought I was going fast but I wasn't." With the exception of a few guys like Sam Blease, Aaron Davey and David Rodan who legitimately don't have the fitness, the rest of our players are not mentally committed enough to put in the effort required. Most of us couldn't do it either, but as supporters we are in the fortunate (or unfortunate) position of not having (or being able) to do what we see every other club's players doing every week.
  6. Of course it would be! Being dead is less painful than everything. That's the whole point!
  7. Unless the captaincy is two tons of bricks, I'm not sure that is Jack Trengove's problem.
  8. We matched them in the first quarter, and couldn't keep it up for the whole game. There is only one reason for that: fitness. There's only one cure for that problem: time and effort. Misson is one of the best fitness guys in the game, so I'm confident he can get us to the point where we can play our best for as long as the game goes. We're not there yet, but we will.
  9. Neeld had no choice but to drop him last year. His performances were terrible.
  10. I thought you guys wanted him to be nicer?
  11. It's getting to the point now where we need to pick the best 22 runners in our team and just play them every week, because the minute you select anyone with a substandard tank, you just get absolutely destroyed. We don't have the fitness or the desire to impact games of footy for more than about fifty minutes per game, and that's just unacceptable.
  12. Brent Moloney Mk. II Having said that, he was probably in our best six today...which shows what we're working with.
  13. McDonald and McKenzie both played well for us in their other games this year, but they were absolutely atrocious today. So many of our players put in season-worst performances, and that is just unacceptable.
  14. Once again so many of our players just canter around for 90 minutes and pick up a great big cheque at the end of it.
  15. He didn't want to come to the club.
  16. Neville Jetta was a very big loss for this side. His toughness and run is exactly what we need. Not to mention the terrible performances of Jordie McKenzie, Dean Terlich, David Rodan and Sam Blease - all guys who were brought in this week (with the exception of Terlich).
  17. Jack Watts is running himself lame and you blokes are sniping him left and right. Get a grip all of you!
  18. We're being cut up through the midfield because two of our least fit guys have been brought into the team and stuck directly in the midfield. Sam Blease and David Rodan have contributed nothing defensively and do not deserve to be in the side. I thought we should have brought in Dan Nicholson instead of Rodan, and this performance has certainly done nothing to alter that view.
  19. Rodan and Blease don't have the tank to compete at AFL level. They should not be in the side. Jack Watts is chasing hard, and when stuie and I agree on something, you know you should take notice.
  20. ...it might be the players' attitudes. Maybe we should ask Tim Watson. What I meant by my question about each club's captains was to say that you can't use what happens at some other club to argue for the right or wrong of the same decisions at our club. The variables are just way to big to create meaningful parallels. But if you want my opinion, I think Jacks Trengove and Grimes have had a fantastic effect on our club. They are of course very young, so you can't expect them to have the same impact as the more mature (and in Kane Cornes' case PREMIERSHIP WINNING) leaders at Port Adelaide. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the game today and I hope that the PLAYERS pull out something great.
  21. Why would they? The A Grade midfield was either injured, disenfranchised or not even at the club yet. I bet Hinkley's had a profound impact on the club, but unless you can tell me what he would have done at Melbourne if he had the opportunity, his performance at Port Adelaide is irrelevant.
