Basically exactly what I and others have been saying all along. It's the players who are responsible for the good and bad performances we put in on the field.

What are the odds of nine different teams' planes crashing this year? Figure that out and you'll have deduced the odds of us making the finals.

I think what we did for Toumpas was just perfect. We let him know exactly how far he has to go to match it with the pace and difficulty of AFL-level footy, without just giving him game after game in hopes that he'd simply click. His second game was better than his first, and after he went backward in his third game, we took him out of the fire and let him cool off for a bit. Perfect.

Come on. That was not "behind play." It was not a disgrace. It was simply an undisciplined mistake. He left the ground before the kick took place and hit the guy a little late. He deserves what he got, but don't beat it up into anything more than it is. You're entitled to your opinion, but by god is it a shitty opinion.

The great thing about Jeremy Howe this year is that he has dramatically improved his goal-kicking. Ive gone from knowing he'd miss to being almost certain he'll kick 'em. But don't tell the Neeld haters. They think no one has improved under his tenure.

How could you not have Michael Evans in your top six?

The only thing we can do for Jack Watts is remind him that he is not necessarily guaranteed a spot on an AFL list. Putting him in the VFL for a little while might remind him of that fact.
