Anyone who has an hour and a half spare, I highly recommend you listen to (at least) the last Breaking Bad podcast. It's basically a huge monologue by the show's creator. I just watched the Breaking Bad finale. I think they nailed it pretty well.

My inside sources tell me the reason Abbot beat Rudd was that half the country voted for some guy called Roos. Go figure.

For what it's worth, I agree with him. That's where I've always seen as his best position. Great disposal into the forward line where it's needed, and a good sense of the game which would allow him to drift forward or back as required.

I disagree on both counts. He actually is involved in a lot of possession chains, which means he doesn't turn it over. And slow? I don't think that's true either. He's no Patrick Dangerfield, but he's also no Jack Trengove either.

Agree on Pederson but Byrnes has been one of our better players this year.

It's barely a footy thread. If it weren't so popular, I'd say it should be put in the Off-Topic section of the forum. But if it did go there, it would die a slow and horrible death because nobody ever visits Off-Topic.

Agreed. I hold no ill-will towards Chris Judd (or Tom Scully) for pursuing the largest contracts they could. But the extracurricular payments Judd gets makes me extraordinarily skeptical of his moral outlook. Likewise, Tom Scully's willingness to lie to people he had worked closely with for two years is just totally unnecessary and (to my mind) non-sensical. In the words of the judge from Shawshank, they strike me as "particularly icy and remorseless men." It chills my blood just to look at them. I don't have any real problems with lying, per se. It's unnecessary lying that I detest.

I was defending him against people who wanted to delist him two years ago. I still reckon he has at least as much to offer us as Jordie Gysberts.Bottom line is I bags'ed him first. You can still support him, but I'm first in line!

Clearly you've picked up that habit as a means of coping with your unneccessarily long and boring biopic. At least you learned more than me from that film.

To be honest, I feel like I'd be able to do it too, but I know a lot of people who wouldn't. Not everyone has that kind of balls. To you and me, it might be easy, or you might feel that not looking at the coach will only make things worse. But not everybody is like that.

Pretty damn easy to say sitting behind your computer. Have you ever had to make a speech in front of a small group of people who don't really care what you have to say? Imagine the nerves you get in that situation, then multiply it however much thousands of people riding on your every move would add to the pressure. And the nice big cherry on top is your senior coach going absolutely postal at you because of a mistake that you're already increadibly embarrassed about.
