Spot on. Goody doesn't care about the structure of the forward line. It's the personnel, and what they bring. Weid brings nothing right now.

The Jones vs Murphy comparison is a reminder that no matter how bad you have it, someone has it worse. As bad as it has been, no way Jones swaps his career for Murphy's.

Take it to the MFCSS thread Jaded !

Geelong is unbelievably old and slow. It's all lining up for us fellows.

It’s only been a few years with the pre finals bye but it already feels rushed to jump straight into finals after the home and away season is over. But whatever gives the afl the best chance of getting the finals done in good fashion will work for me.

GWS feel like they've kicked about 10 goals from the goalsquare in the last couple of games.

Giants are looking Bulldogs 2016-esque right now.

RIP Richmond. I can't say it was fun. In the words of the great Tim Lane... "The days of domination are OVER!!!"
  9. Anzac eve was his spiritual farewell game to me. I’d like him to be GF day sub if we get there and he’s not on one leg, but for me I’ll never forget the night we pantsed the tigers and Jones had the ball in the dying seconds. What a farewell that would make, and was, if that’s all there is.

I’d go short as Adelaide’s only chance is to play a fast ground level game. Also, Weideman doesn’t need to audition for finals while every small on our list good enough does. We all know that if McDonald or Brown go down in a prelim (says 77 hail Mary’s) Weid is straight in. But what if ANB gets injured, or (says 777 Hail Mary’s) Ed Langdon? We need to know who comes in for them.
  11. Love to see the dogs without the Bont (don't even need to name another player, as that would be enough).
  12. Jackson, Gawn, Brown, Lever, May, Petty, all been very good. Talls standing up in the wet is very good to see. Kelly is a bit too dangerous for my liking - I'd want to see Harmes go to him. Bowey still as clean as you'd hope to see from a 1st year player.
  13. Ben Brown has done some amazing things over the years as the main man. Hope we can get a blast from the past, despite it being wet.

    Underrated.
  15. On grand final day, he won't care. He'll just get the ball and get the ball and keep doing that until we win.
  16. I pity anyone trying to get between Clayton Oliver and a premiership on grand final day.

Would be a fair effort by Essendon to finish on top from here.

I know we have our brand, but I'd consider adjusting our centre-work to play a more honest clearance game vs the Dogs if/when we play them in finals. If we can beat them in that area, they have nothing else to go to.

If Bontempelli got injured, I reckon the Dogs would win half the games they do.

Yeah, but it would be against Port Adelaide, who we beat comfortably on the road less than a month ago.

Clarko leaving Hawthorn after winning all their remaining games.

Port are gonna run right over the crows now.

Absolute carnage in the Showdown. 2 crows collide with each other and at least one of them is unlikely to come back this match. Derm made a good comment about it though - if that was a port player and a crows player colliding, there would be MRO action involved. It just shows that, hey, body on body contact is a feature of the game, and sometimes there are unfortunate results from that.
  24. Very well done. The web dev for our business is quick. I think you have him covered.

Extremely disparaging of a premiership player. Gunston is absolute silk and exactly what we need. He's still younger than me, so he's not too old (for the record, Cale Morton was the first MFC player younger than me).
