Yeah I don’t see the problem. The playing of ‘official’ practice games is a waste of time and opportunity for players to get injured. The idea of putting it one state is odd because we aren’t the NRL - more than two states care about our game. But it can certainly get the attention of an area all weekend.

As a coach, there’s a ceiling to mid rotations, the guys just don’t want two min stints. There is also an actual rotation ceiling remember of 75. More teams will see that 5th bench spot as an opportunity to help their number 1 ruck and we have two of the top 4 rucks in the game.

All contracts should be guaranteed and not able to be altered for the life of the contract. It shouldn’t even be able to be extended until a window for extension with 18 mths - 6 months to go. This should be a small part of the move to a better structure for payments and the cap.

For ND~50 this is a no brainer. 28 is a prime time for any footballer and he has a great left boot. On the broadcast wing and given a chip out from one of the forwards. Immediately we are better.

I won’t dismiss it but we already have 4 picks inside 40 next year as it stands… While getting back into the first round this year and a pick in the 30s and ostensibly making the team better Rd 1, 2023. It’s a very balanced way to go about refreshing the list in the long term with aggressive recruitment while the window is open. Both Hunter and Grundy are extra hands propping that window ajar. Its quietly impressive.
