Farewell Brodie Grundy
Yes, but Gawn is older and more banged up and the FD obviously would like him to be FF and the the back up to a superior ruck, so he isn’t forced back in there when we are struggling. Gawn as a forward has its pros and cons, but, injuries aside, Grundy should be able to provide more than Jackson did of course.

Some blokes just don’t have it. You’d be wasting Williams’ time.

Again, where is that stated. I have seen and heard $1.5m of the $5m owed. What the ‘loading’ is is not mentioned and also would be something we and the AFL would have to agree.

Again, he won’t be again. He will be FF moving into the ruck.- Farewell Brodie Grundy
Looking forward to 2023. Of the $$$ is what is mooted this is great value. Gawn won’t ever be AA ruckman again and that’s ok. If he can kick 30+ goals and allow us to kick to the top of the square then great. Let’s fashion a fwd line around that.- Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
I find your reasoning Schache at best…- Farewell Brodie Grundy
The points system is indicative value to allows F/S and academy bids. The need to constantly look at points value to convince oneself that a club would abandon a top selection is utter nonsense. Picks 13 and 35 do not ‘equal or exceed’ Pick 7. ‘ I have 4 picks in the 20s - can you please give me pick 1 please?’ 🙄- Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
No player with the name ‘Jaxon’ will be successful, I’m sorry.- Farewell Brodie Grundy
We are a club known to get what it wants done, and not sweat small distractions like what ‘value’ we are supposed to get on individual deals. Like the flag winning defence that ‘we paid too much for’…- We cannot draft again from WA
Swings and roundabouts. We got Lever, we lose Jackson. Our best have stuck around and will be around for ages. Jackson looks like being a gun but that is yet to be seen. What we do with these picks I am more interested in. State borders and distance should not be a determining factor in who we draft.- Farewell Luke Jackson
We did the same thing with Lever.- Trade and Free Agency rumours
Assuming we went tall forward hunting and flamed out, one benefit might be with these long term contracts to CP5, AB10, and CO13 is the ability to upfront some of what we owe. That will make it easier to target players longer term. Small comfort but still valuable. I kind of want them to keep their powder dry from here and see what our hand looks like next year and target a King in the North maybe…- Port chasing Kozzy Pickett
He has a partner? Might be time to make the leap… I know when I moved in with girlfriends it came with very good, mixed, sometimes bad results. I’m sure it will be great, meh, lead to him wanting to leave the state.- Port chasing Kozzy Pickett
Didn’t stop Freo getting Jackson. Too soon?- Farewell Luke Jackson
That’s a Dees Premiership player you are talking about… M8, ‘The Freo Death Ride 2023: Chained to the Anchor’ thriller is all about the fact that we currently have their first two picks and if we keep them and they play badly… we get better picks… Get on board and enjoy it! For like 2 weeks or whenever we trade the picks to get up the order…- Farewell Luke Jackson
Now we start the Death Ride of Freo 2023!- Farewell Luke Jackson
