  1. Good pod fellas! Look forward to the preview for the Swans game. We are heavy favourites with those that put money on footy. Always a good sign that guarantees nothing. Sydney is a really good team that will have their moments but they can be beaten up around the ball and if we can extract cleanly we will beat them well. I love our scrappy, fighting forward line. Underdogs with plenty of talent and now a bit of stubborn fight to it. Really fun. It is our weakness but you watch that weakness kick 15 goals next week.
  2. Roos brought that with him and this is the evolution of it into a pillar of high performance. Love following a competent club!
  3. It’s ok. We can enjoy the next 5 weeks and celebrate a pretty hectic and hellish 3 years.
  4. Pinch myself he’s a demon for 15 years
  5. I feel for the guy. We moved in a different direction - he doesn’t deserve this. I heard he was good for us and drove some of that crazy trading that got us Oliver and Kozzie…
  6. And then the club has to agree a trade… Enter Adrian Dodoro!
  7. 91k for Geelong and 90k for Hawthorn. Both were 50k+ MFC. The Geelong game was 60k MFC. If we don’t have 75k I would be disappointed that after so much pain, we are actually too damaged to enjoy the good times, regardless of all the excuses.
  8. See, I think the NFL’s divisional fixture in a 17 game season compromising. 6 games in a [censored] division and you can be the Tennessee Titans getting the number 1 seed and going out straight away. They have 32 teams so it’s hard of course. I think we should play each other once and then move to pools of 6 and fight for position within those pools. Really interesting way to make it fairer and get some excitement. 13th at Rd 17 is effed of course…
  9. Poor Adem. I wouldn’t go to the Bombers in their current state.
  10. I don’t have time to read articles! Life too busy!
  11. Apparently it will be for Peter Jackson - he’s linked to North.
  12. My two cents; it takes a pretty good team to be so surgical. They may have let us in - but we we’re ruthless. Teams are going to let us in this month…
  13. I came down for that game and we did struggle in the backline - and we were clearly sluggish - most likely for our loading being at its zenith before the bye. My main point is that we can assume similar for Sydney and so it is difficult to draw much from that or the game itself. It was one of the first games that illustrated that we were not going inside 50 too well, which has come up a few times since. Again, how much you draw from that game is up to the beholder.
  14. Unless you’re being facetious, Sydney would have also had an elevated regime too. They were just better than us. Reid got a hold of a backline without May and we never looked like kicking a score without Gawn being in the square.
  15. Love to hear you guys wax lyrical about our efficiency going forward and how we turned 26 I50s into 13 goals in the first half. The age old unanswerable question; was that more about the opposition than us? I think that is does say more about the Lions but, nevertheless, it was a great habit to get into to lead into space more and lower our eyes more and be more patient. They are obviously running in waves and fitness is very high. Utilising that, they gave it to that runner laterally a few times and they also kicked it better with less blazing away.
  16. I can see you have made up your mind by the stilted rhetoric of your post. ANB does defensive work up and down the ground that are the reason we are so good. He also works hard to create space for Petracca in the forward half so that CP5 can get free. I’m sure that next year they will get Bedford or someone to also do these selfless things but right now he is a very important cog to your team and you might want to have a look and see a bit more than stats. Yeah, he can lift, he can hit targets and finish off our good work. But that doesn’t diminish his role and how much he works to play that role as well as he does.
  17. So this finals structure is like a Dan Brown novel according to the ‘efforts’ in their thread. Lock it down, people! You’re embarrassing yourselves…
  18. Of course not, coming back into Canberra airport at 3pm with a toddler and a pregnant wife is. And yes, get whatever paraphernalia that gets you off your couch and to the game. Lucky bastards.
