  1. That's why they have the compo clauses in the CBA...
  2. Jeez, I don't agree with that sentiment... Especially the attempt to guilt trip Daniel with mention of Jimmy's non-footy related cancer battle...
  3. You don't know what flaming is. Just as an aside - did anyone in the MCC area see the way this one Sydney bloke sprinted to the bench with a straight left arm? Looked so strange - there was audible "WTF?" laughter from the punters... It was Dawn of the Dead stuff I tell you...
  4. Played last week, so, probably...
  5. You're allowed to defend yourself, whether you can or not is a separate question... At this point I am taking the p!ss, but you need to simmer down, C&B. Seriously...
  6. You're the one making the most noise about it...
  7. Can the effort be good, if the result isn't?
  8. I'm with HSOG - we employed him and we should take care of him. Employers are getting away with too much these days, employees are more than chattle. Take care of those that represented you, at some risk to themselves.
  9. Obviously Gotchy has said - I won't play you until you are fit. If Fev is serious about playing AFL football again - he will play at the Scorps in 5 weeks time and he will be fit. If he isn't - which I don't think he is - he will play with his mates for a couple weeks and sign for Frankston and take the option of least hard work and application.
  10. I hope we can work something out for him. Precedents are powerful things... Outside the courts would be better. Agree to take care of any healthcare costs, concerning his head, for the rest of his life as they arise?
  11. The snide comments about Watts and about Scully leaving are always said with a scared look in the eye... Because they know what's coming...
  12. This one on its own can be misleading as the teams that get the most balls can have more turnovers. But I will include it because no KPI should be taken in isolation to the others. Rich tapestry. Now someone needs to get me the turnover differential from last year...
  13. THIS IS A BUMPED THREAD FOR THOSE READING THIS IN 2011.
  14. He likes the attention...
  15. They are the stat kings, but, yeah, they are a little better than I thought they would be...

    Stefan Martin

He also needs to learn to not give a crappy little handball to idiot mids running past asking for the pill. And he should also learn the "why did you ask for it?!" bake...
  17. We always dominate the ruck - the problem is Mitchell and Lewis take the ball anyway... Terrible manners...

    The Draw

Long lasting effects of a draw?? Does anyone recall the arguments we had on here about the lasting effects of losing by sh!tloads every week? We have come this far...
  19. I wish they would hold it more in a tackle - try and hit a target. But at least they aren't just avoiding contact by throwing up a hospital handpass, or a 'Bruce,' to anyone near. Progress.
  20. I think Mono said this is a black mark. I dunno - if it blows up it's a black mark, but even then - it isn't like we can't recoup the loss through salary garnishing. Back when 'outsourcing' meant moving your business ops to another suburb not country, companies used to do this sort of thing for their employees. Not done much anymore, but that is more to do with a lack of belief in employees (and the length of time they will stay at the company) than the practice itself.
  21. Pressure Bruce, Gibson, Ladson, Gilham and the kids coming out of the backline and we can win. If they hit free targets across centre wing, we'll lose by 5 goals.
  22. It wasn't a poor call. It was a call based on nothing but second hand conjecture - text on the internet! - I mean come on... A poor call was when I thought Garland would be delisted after a few rounds of 2008. Yours shouldn't even graduate to 'call' level... It was more of a 'poor thought instance' or a 'poor keyboard moment'...
  23. RI - Just admit you were wrong and that you should have deferred judgement to those in a better position to judge. Honestly, I have no idea why some people just cannot put their hand up and say "I was wrong." It's like when people apologise by saying - "If I have offended anyone, I apologise." That's not an apology, it's a failed mathematical equation. "If I have done X, then Y. But I am not saying I have done X, but if you believe I have done X, then Y."
  24. Fine. But did anyone laugh at my 'orange' comment? No? Oh... Get a sense of humour then.
