  1. Doubt it. Rules changed.
  2. Yes I thought that too, but it might just be an inference based on recent events. Maybe Williams has been 'freed up' too...
  3. Yes he kicked 12 goals more than Tom. And yes, he won the AFLPA first year player award. I don't really see that as definitive. Tom tackles more than Murphy did, his courage is faultless, his hardness unquestionable. Tom Scully will be a very good footy player.
  4. I agree that this is an innocent racial grouping but say your piece and move on. You'd think that Davey, Bennell, Jetta, Jurrah, and Wonaeamirri were the reasons for our awful efforts this season...
  5. Because Murphy did little more than Scully in his first two years. The post you replied to agreed with this sentiment. You replied by mentioning how much Murphy had done in his first two years. Didn't follow.
  6. I'm not if the two new ones bring in more money... Love Lawrie and the story behind Kaspersky is great but when it comes down to it - it's a business decision and if we can get better value somewhere else... Hasta luego, por favor.
  7. Mil extra. But much of that is to spend on the 10 extra kids they have on their list. And before you say 'pfft' - those kids will be on around $70k and so that is $700k...
  8. Yes, I would be very surprised if, when Garry finishes up his consultancy, we do not have someone similar on the board as Football Director.
  9. I think we are suffering from a lack of definition over roles. Starting from the top down: Board (w/President and VP and Football Director - which was Leoncelli up until 2011) Football Department (w/ General Mananger, List Manager, Coach, Ass. Coaches, etc.) Two seperate 'silos' if you will (or they should be), with the Football Director the proxy FOR the board to gather appropriate information for the board to judge those who make decisions. I believe the OP is talking about what Parkin did at Hawthorn for a couple years as a senior overseer of a younger coach in the FD. It was a massive failure FYI.
  10. Guys get dropped.
  11. I'm sorry. Continue. Cracker.
  12. White players are doing s...house too... Damn honkeys...
  13. I agree with all of this but the last line - you were not wrong. We may not have managed it properly (or got rid of the wrong senior players - only one comes to mind) but the decision to move to the youth policy was the right one, and we are seeing the proof of that this year. I have a post on one of the "Brad's a bad captain" threads about this, but the senior players think that we have moved too far away from our 'best' team in our youth policy - I say they have confirmed the suspicions of those at the club - and their zeal - that put the youth policy in place. It creates disharmony, but the truth is the truth and Green, Warnock, Bate, Dunn, and MacDonald won't be in the best 22 when we are a top 4 team. Davey, Moloney, and Rivers will be largely on the periphery, and Sylvia will be...well that's largely up to him... Jamar would be the only senior player certain to be an important player in our push. The "Senior Player Fallout of 2011" is the crisis the club had to have.

    FINALS

    A flux capacitor...
  15. I constantly defend you, HSOG. No-one is more pleased with the crisis at the club than you and it doesn't reflect well on you or your obvious agenda. Just restrain yourself.
  16. And 'past Brian Royal.' 'Present Brian Royal' just isn't doing it for me...
  17. Yeah, or that we have the same factless (and feckless) arguments every month? Just let it go, RR. You think he has made a decision, I think he has to make one. WGAF considering what is going on at the club at the minute.
  18. You can throw them to the wolves at the same time... I don't like shared captaincy, but it is better than...ahem...the alternatives...
  19. Nah, different...styles.
  20. Just do a lottery with PP only determined by the commission if a club falls in a heap. Done.
  21. I didn't realise MM had said anything about tanking... I do know that in 2005, the Magpies did all they could to not win.
  22. Just let it go, Hannabal. You're becoming as tiresome as you think I am... I am not certain whether Trengove is ready for it next year but the under 24 brigade should select a LG from themselves and they can decide what to do about the captaincy. Either one captain from inside or outside the group, or shared captaincy. If I was to ponder who would be in that LG it would resemble - Frawley, Garland, Trengove, Scully, Watts, Grimes, Jones, and McKenzie. With one or more of Grimes, Jones, and Frawley sharing the captaincy. Maybe Watts and Trengove aswell but I don't know...
  23. Spat the dummy.
  24. What are you talking about - everyone agreed with him and one mod tried to make sure we didn't pile on. Because we have, unfortunately, had a 'Brad is a bad captain' thread every week for months...
  25. In the loo.
