It's funny how 'we' have backflipped purely because she had said it was going to happen when it didn't. Journos... They're so cute.
-
Please elaborate HSOG.

You have got to be kidding me... Bailey is gone because we have not progressed this season. The last straw was the realisation he has no chance to keep his job - ipso facto - he must go. Your reasoning that Garry Lyon precipitated the sacking of Bailey is specious. You seem to always think there are unseen reasons for the things that occur around the MFC. You should try and stop reading between the lines and just read the effing lines...
-
Are you new? ADC is trying to sh!t stir.
-
Why don't you speculate, tell us it's the 'truth' and claim that our heads are in the sand when we disagree. That's how this works isn't it?
-
That is such specious reasoning that you should really think about deletion of the post... The reason Bailey is gone is because he had no chance of coaching in 2012 and when that is the case - you cut ties. Garry Lyon is a former great who is never going to be far from the ear of whoever is running the club, but to say he precipitated Dean's axing is rich - even for you...
-
Oh, please... He obviously has the ear of a couple of people but 'calling the shots' is a bit rich. To me, the trouble looks to be poorly defined roles and Schwab micro-management, coupled with players who are terrible on-field leaders but eloquent enough off the field to air grievances to the highest level.

Reprehensible. They left with a sour taste in the mouth did they? I had a sour taste in the mouth watching them play. They can say what they like, but that doesn't mean I cannot judge them on it. Pathetic. -
Why? It's a minor annoyance compared to the obvious problems with Schwab intefering with the footy dept, Connolls interfering in the coaching, Bailey having lost the faith of some of the directors, the club having obvious problems with leaking, the senior players being a pathetic, listless bunch, and the issue of the admin being at odds with a seemingly mutinous playing group. Forgive the rest of us if the Tom Scully Saga has been superseded, RR. This doesn't suit your agenda, nor mine, what is happening with regard to the Tom Scully Saga so just let it lie for the time being?
-
The Scully Saga is the least of our problems apparently... Don't rewrite the story and make Tom's contract the reason for our troubles - they are obviously deeper than that.

Todd Viney. I hope Jimmy is saying something at 10am tomorrow. I want to know what is going on at my club.
-
I had said that Bailey should coach out the year but I should have put the rider that he had to have had the perception that he could keep his job. With that gone, we have made the right decision. Thanks go to Dean who has given us the talent to challenge with his unselfish development. I am dreading the news about Schwab and Connols, they need to rip off the bandaid and not have any slow kills. (sigh)
-
I want the board to say something tomorrow morning at the latest - even if they have nothing to say. Here we go again - I am sure the board will have their reasons for doing whatever it is we are about to do, but can we please do this without fracturing the club again. Everyone's heart is in the right place. Let's do this right.
-
The only part of the club that Stynes hasn't shaped is the FD. Viney has been their only addition, in the new era, if I recall correctly. I said it earlier in the season that the FD is destined for a shake-up and it is coming...

Every time we have a shocking loss, and this is the worst one I have seen, we go back to the 'what effect did tanking have?' It was one game, that we were behind when the siren went - we tanked unintentionally fantastically. It wasn't tanking that did this, it was the fact that we are not a good team and our senior players are pathetic. There might be some issues behind the scenes but I very much doubt they are still related to Jordan McMahon's Greatest Moment ©...
-
This would be a brave move and the best way forward - but our club is too nice to do that. Next year, the new coach - whoever he is - has to have a LG of 23 and under - they are the future, they are our talent, they can take over the reigns early.
-
What are you talking about? Why are the members of Land to blame? I really hate this bullsh!t, you are confused and irate and you should be - but don't go looking for a fight on Land by claiming we are to blame for this mess.
-
What the frack is this, tonatopia? What self-indulgent BS. Get your hand off of it before you stain your pants. Delete thread.

did we have a training run on skilled stadium

Nah, but Geelong did... -
Yes, it's just awful. Bailey should coach out the year and one of Roos, Malthouse, Clarkson, Eade, or Any other experienced coach should come in. I feel for Dean and the club because the issues that we have won't leave with Dean. I harp on this and I am becoming tiresome, I know, but our senior players would have to be the most pathetic in the league. The quicker we move past them in all facets the better. And the first thing is to kick anyone over 23 out of the leadership group. (sigh) If there is any consolation form this it is that the 'distraction' of the Tom Scully Saga is inconsequential to our problems...
-
Yes, well said. At this point it is my very large ego that keeps me going...
-
Well, I guess we have both missed what we are saying... I believe that whatever detrimental effect the Tom Scully Saga has on this team does not supersede in importance more pressing concerns. And that the 'distraction' of having constant rumours flying about is not enough of an issue to warrant the blame for this season that you are tacitly attributing Tom. And the best we can hope for this season is to scrape into a humiliating defeat in an Elimination final in Perth so the '1 percent' argument falls flat when one realises that it will only affect 2011, and 2011 has already been put to death by our lack of available talent and poor onfield leadership. Your position relies on the TSS to be a distraction - I say if it is, it is small and it is irrelevant.
-
I am assuming you are being sarcastic. You are the one bringing the rest of the team as being distracted - and the club 'diminished' - not me. It is an absolute cop-out to say that the Tom Scully Saga © is distracting this poorly led team. Another excuse for this team is the last thing they need.
