  1. Yes, but in society we give a wittle fine and wittle ban... Honestly, 'Mum Jokes' didn't get this guy suspended. Vicious, and sexualised abuse got this guy suspended.
  2. Put them both on match payments!!
  3. Yes, we have awful senior players. I know. When they are down on form they are as inspiring as a briquette...
  4. You say that like it means something. At the start of this season - you thought Watts played like a woman and lamented the choice of him ahead of Hurley. How do you know Jurrah, Scully, Morton, and Grimes won't reach the levels the Jacqueline Watts will apparently reach? If we can keep the following when they are 22 to 28 we will be a flag chance - Frawley, Trengove, Garland, Watts, Scully, Grimes, Jurrah, McKenzie, Bail, and Tapscott.
  5. Didn't they kick 9.22 that day or something... I mean, we played against them last year in two games but we have got to get over decent displays against Collingwood. We were shite last year and we still are.
  6. Black Beauty a dark horse?
  7. He read your words, JCB. He has AFL experience, but a leader he ain't.
  8. Yes, they would... McKenzie and Trengove would be snapped up and played in any team in the league. Any team.
  9. 1. I heard that Scully thought highly of Bailey. 2. Tom Scully is not to blame for this awful season. 3. Why do we constantly look for excuses for own established senior players? They are awful when the heat is on and our pathetic onfield leaders. This is an actual reason for the sh!te that 2011 has brought, not same abstract distraction of endless questions to Jack Trengove and co.
  10. Excel issues and my own lack of enthusiasm to do this was the delay... Not happy reading... And the spike of the awfulness was Bailey's last game... Make of it what you will. I see it as justification of the decision to end Bailey's tenure - we were not improving - and when you come to that decision you may as well let everyone know and move on. And that is what we did. (sigh)
  11. It's not as simple as that. We are trying to keep a list together and they are obviously trying to shake every tree they can. Clubs fundraise. I'm just glad that mine is doing for reasons other getting out of debt...
  12. Assuming his body is ok, I think it might just be because he is 28 and they would like to rebuild. But I know it doesn't look great when you are picking up players not wanted by teams that are not very good... Which is why I don't think Warnock is going to get us a second round pick that a poster suggested he might...
  13. I will make you an rpfc promise, I will get them up by 7pm tonight.
  14. A 25 year old Barry Hall going to the Swans... That's comparable to a 31 year old Fevola coming off a stint in the VFL? And it was Hall's 4th year in Sydney when they won the flag. So he obviously wasn't the conduit to a flag alone, and how many years do we keep Fev going for? How will we know when Cook is ready to go? If we finish 6th with Fev kicking 45 goals when he is 33, does he earn another year?
  15. I don't believe you, or anyone in this thread, who says "they're off." This isn't some halfway house you writing this in - this is a diaspora of Demons whose passion is unquestionable. We will rise, you will love it, and that is that.
  16. Other clubs are asking their fans. If there are people able and willing - go for it.
  17. It isn't as simple as the simplest answer...
  18. You have got to work with what you can get. I would like to get a 27-30 year old (or a couple) pro who will command a spot for a couple of years and is a good leader to help fix our easily pleased culture. Example - Kane Cornes. I would also like to target a 23-26 year old (or a couple) established player that can command a spot in the 22 - must have a good head. Example - Travis Boak. I don't know if either is available, or who else might be but I would love to get a couple of both.
  19. We could win a flag too! Just like the Dogs and the Tigers!
  20. So don't appease Tom's demands - appease Colin's demands? I don't think that is a very strategic approach... Theo Epstein is the man in the front office of the Boston Red Sox - he knows a player's worth to his organisation - he is ruthless and single minded. He gets the list of players, determines their worth, and then tries to sign those he wants within the parameters of their worth. This is how Harrington and Schwab will do it and we should expect nothing less. Tom and Colin will be offered contracts commensurate to their worth. And if they are not appeased... Hasta luego, por favor.
  21. Two things; you are annoyingly liberal with your use of semi-colons, and if no coach on earth can or will or should coach the club - who does that leave?
  22. Yeah, see how his body is holding up and go from there. He is the second type of bloke I would go after. The first would be 23-27 year old guns with good heads, the second are 28-30 year old pros with really good leadership skills.
  23. Kid gloves? They are kids. And I am willing to put them in charge. Hardly pussyfooting around, DC.
  24. The club has already made the decision to make them 2nd year rookies next year. Great the two boys agreed - gives us more flexibility.
  25. Not too early. Bate, Dunn, Warnock to go. Maric maybe. Rookies released except for Nicho and Evans. Sylvia and Morton to be re-signed but if they don't agree, traded for ready made players. Scully - we will see. Bennell, Batram, and Davey kept.
