    No rights

There are no regular elections of the entire Board anyway... Members have every right to organise a call an election - but the AFL is not relocating us here, they are not merging us - they are trying to organise a Board of Demons that is industry standard and attempt to get us a very good FD head and one of Roos, Williams, or Eade as coach. I am comfortable with this scenario.
  2. ...losing money? C&B - I too am hopeful but not only are we bad the Saints have two blokes playing milestone games.
  3. I agree but I don't like it. Here we have two talented individuals who simply have the ignominy of being employed by the club at a time when their roles were altered. I would hope that we explore any role - even if it is Development Coach - before we think about paying out their contracts.
  4. And we all know your feelings about me but you insist on constantly following me around attempting to contort yourself into a position to dump on me. Let the hate go, mjt. Don't let it consume you. I will be here for a while. I live here. I am Demonland! (I am not Demonland)
  5. What a friendly bunch a blokes. Hi guys!
  6. And if that Mockingbird don't sing, mummy's gonna buy you a Diamond ring!

    Furious

The Board re-hired him. And they are 'meeting their maker' now so to speak. There is no need for public executions. Let's look forward.
  8. There are exceptions to every rule. Except the Exception rule. Which is the exception to the Exception rule. Proving the rule. Of course, no case is the same, but buyer beware when someone tells you they don't want to coach but you twist their arm and get them down. I hope that the swaying we do convinces Roos to come and he is mentally ready for what will be the hardest job he has undertaken.
  9. Grimes, Viney, Trengove! I just spoiled the movie for everyone!
  10. If he had any backers then they have probably fled to talk to the club as all other Demons have been doing. The AFL in conjunction with interested parties and those on the current Board can come toghether and have a Board that is connected and powerful and reflects the many interested and loyal Demons that are willing to help. We have never needed a divisive election headlined by an outsider intent on applying blame, getting members mad about it, and riding in on those stirred emotions.
  11. I don't know if the timing would have been good. I think that when you have been working at one place for a long time you need some time to decompress. Especially if the decision to leave is not your own, which is how I see how Ross Lyon was able to make the move to Fremantle. The decision to leave was, infamously, his.
  12. Yes, I think similarly. As I said in another post - if we can convince Roos to coach again - great. But don't twist his arm too much. Malcolm blight was torn from the golf course to coach St Kilda. His body went, and his mind remained at the golf course.
  13. Schwab is welcome at the club and so is Moloney, and I am sure that they will both be around the club in the future - be it short term or a bit longer. We have to stop holding petty grudges. There was no malice in the way Schwab poorly ran the FD. There was nothing more than boorish immaturity in Moloney's Instagram image. Garry Lyon was pushed to involve himself against the wishes and advice that he himself gave to others (let that be lesson Re: Paul Roos, Coach 2014). Gardner and McLardy agreed to take on a difficult leadership position at a club constantly on a knife edge - do everything well you break even (and not just in finances), screw up and disaster hits. I have personal experience of how this club likes to factionalise and hold petty grudges against other Demons who have nothing but the best interests of the club at heart. You have to forgive and understand, welcome back, and allow as many Demons through those gates as possible. We need every Demon we can get.
  14. As I understand - we will keep the '2 any age and 2 U/21' concept for our keepers.
  15. You are a member and you can force an EGM if you want to. The reason why we don't have the them regularly is because they are costly and unless you are about to be relocated or merged - a Demon can talk to a Demon and work it out. Gardner did with Stynes. McLardy has with AFL/Jackson/Freeman/Kelaher/whoever else.
  16. It's the only way to tank in my system but you are still a chance 45 - still a chance! Remember 1900 - the Dees won the flag after finishing last in the H&A season!
  17. You are 4 games out with 7 remaining...
  18. Well, I was worried there for a bit, but it looks likely doesn't it? At some point, mjt, you can either get over whatever issue you have with me or you can have peptic ulcers. Your choice.
  19. Bring back the Demon when we live up to Checker Hughes' famous call to arms.
  20. It should ensure no easy games and no-one giving up. Can't make the finals? There is a No.1 pick on offer!
  21. The issue has always been senior players and midfielders. Hopefully, as Jones, Grimes, Clark, Frawley and Garland become those senior players that will not be an issue as much anymore. But the midfield... I would love to convince a 23 year old star-to-be to come to us but even that won't solve it. It needs talent and time.
