  1. There is no LTI in the off season. The Primary List has 38/40 spots and the rookie list 4/6 spots. We have 40 PL and 4 RL. Trengove either has to be on the PL or delisted for the next lodgement. And we traded 60 to Carlton. Our 4th pick is ND83.
  2. Planes 'meeting in the air' is called a crash. They are as close to London as the time it takes to find remains and take to Heathrow. A few days I guess. There were no survivors. I am in a great mood...
  3. Oh, is that all you were saying? Coz, I understood it as a direct correlation between Dawes marking the ball and us making the finals.
  4. 'Puitting him on the rookie list' involves delisting him, leaving him to all comers in the ND and then getting him through to the Rookie Draft and placed on there. It's not as simple as cutting and pasting on Mahoney 'List File' in Excel... And it comes with the chance that blokes won't like it when they see their peer delisted with a promise.
  5. Big effing if.
  6. If you are willing to put up with and battle the fall out...
  7. Not happy with Cross, Vince, and Tyson? Garlett is a good little forward and Lumumba is a very good player. You really have been going thread to thread just spilling your battered psyche all over the joint. Stuff doesn't work out; clubs can't agree, make weights don't want to move, the AFL imposes a draconian trade ban on a club... If there are players that we couldn't convince - perhaps our 56 losses since 2012 is the cause of that?
  8. Are you kidding me? Two of their best performers from last season for a bloke that has played one good season at North, Travis Varcoe and Pick 5? If they get Pick 5 right and if Greenwood becomes their 3rd best mid - then they win. Otherwise, their slide will long continue.
  9. The differences between delisting a player and then rookie-ing them, and putting them on the LTI can only be considered semantics from a rule perspective. In terms of the individual in question - it is essentially being fired, by a club that had tried to trade you a few days earlier. There is just a massive difference between the two, WJ.
  10. Above are those contracted for next year - delist and paying out people is fraught. So make a good decision if you go down this road. If you want anyone more than ND2, ND3, ND23 and Frost - you will need to delist one or more the above.
  11. Well, I don't know how many time you have asked but you haven't listened - you can pay out anyone but you will have to have that money against your cap and you will pay them their entire wage unless they agree to go for less like what happened with Clark. Anyone can be delisted and paid out.
  12. Here is the list as it stands - if we delist the three still OOC and move Clark for Lumumba that will be 4 spots on the Primary List. I have included Jetta in that so 2, 3, 23 and Frost in the PSD may be all we do from here until the Rookie Draft. The is no space for DFA at this point.
  13. Debacle? A debacle would be what we have done AT THE DRAFT with high picks, not the inability to trade them.
  14. Not so sure about your numbers there, for one Clark doesn't leave until Lumumba arrives from all accounts. I will have a look at my contracts thread on the main board. And we can trade out all our picks and take two kids at 124 and 125 if we wanted to. There is no rule stating you must keep certain picks.
  15. You know what would have been worse, DemonAbroad? Selling those picks just to sell them. We can't make mistakes, not with high investments like these picks, and getting back players that are not quite stars if the competition, or future stars like Tyson, is not the way to use those picks. If we get two of the best talents out there, then great, let's get them. At some point we are going to stop screwing up our early picks...
  16. I deleted that. Funny now, but if read out of turn and tone - psychotic... Putter. More torque, less bend. Maximum pain.
  17. I can. If the deal isn't there, it isn't there. We have to get everything right for 5 years. Last year, we did that. This year is teetering on a knife edge, one thing that can not happen id either overpaying for one star or buying high on whoever is available just because we can get them. If Petracca, McCartin, and/or Brayshaw are our lot then they are our lot.
  18. Please. I can fully understand defending Chook in Perth and GNF - they have sources, they are simply passing some info on. But at a very shallow level these 'posters' pedalling the JK rumour are just targeting us for their own S&G. They can GAGF.
  19. Groan. Is it school holidays down in Victoria?
  20. After today, I am fine with having Lamumba for Clark. Less of a toss er with a stable navicular... Honestly, that should be how we recruit these days: Viney: "Nice to meet you kid, got some talent...so if I were to grab you here does it hurt?" Kid: "Mr Viney, you're hurting my foot!" Viney: "Aha! p i s s off kid. Next!" Nasher: Toss er and p i s s o f f censored? If that is foul language then what kind of a country do we live in?
  21. I don't believe in the rookie list so I prefer he stay on the primary list. He has called for people to back him, not pity him. The club that is stuck with him no matter what in 2015 should do just that. The benefits of not delisting him are not immediate and/or obvious but are plentiful.
  22. It's fair to say that Demonland has just been Touched By An Uncle... Troll is as troll does. Not enough value in the proposed deal, it's not going to happen.
  23. For a decision a rumour suggested the club will make tomorrow at 3pm? The merits of the non-trade can be non-discussed in this non-forum without the non-club falling apart. It's called debate and the internet thrives on it... Debate and porn.
  24. If he didn't want to go all he had to say is - I don't want to go. In the AFL there is full trade protection inherent to contracts for some reason.
  25. Surely it's semantics to the individual involved? The conversation he had with the Tigers is the concern, not who instigated it. That matters to us, but to him - we were willing to part with him and that is a fact he will have to get over, embrace, or be burnt by.
