Farewell Luke Jackson
If we had room for Cerra in the cap then we have room to front end a few deals and get some years on the end of Jackson, Oliver, Pickett et al

Yes, go to the AFL store tho

Merch/Memorabilia
I thought it was only Rd 1 they were selling. If it’s every game - yes, that is poor form and elitist.

Farewell Luke Jackson
He helped us turn and then dominate a GF. I don’t know what you’re waiting for. If we won’t pay him, 17 other clubs will happily.

Hawks on the Slide: How Mitchell is making life hard for himself
Correction - they did draft well. They ain’t got nobody coming through.

Hawks on the Slide: How Mitchell is making life hard for himself
I really don’t mind the name change @Demonland but for those ‘rpfc stans,’ as the kids say, I was attempting a ‘Haw-thorn in the side’ pun that I know three of you would appreciate… … I will find my own way out. Ah, found the fire door! (that’s a family guy reference for the two that got that)

COVID & AFL 2021
I don’t disagree, I just don’t know what the hospital capacity looks like in that scenario which I hope is the only thing that stops us opening up fully (and is bought by the general public IMO).

Hawks on the Slide: How Mitchell is making life hard for himself
As we all love the slide down the ladder of the Hawks I thought it be good if we talk about the current mistakes that Sam “I’m too good to let one of the greatest coaches ever have a dignified exit” Mitchell is repeating. We all know how them pushing out Hodge and Lewis and co broke their culture (could have learnt something there Sam)… And now they are doing the same with established senior players: https://www.afl.com.au/news/683923 Wingard on the table but he doesn’t want to be on the table… Mess. When TMac and ANB were on the table last year, they were told they should move on and it wasn’t a surprise and they should try to control their own destiny. Nothing concrete materialised and you know the rest. But Hawthorn are shopping people that have not been brought on that journey; something tells me the results they will get owing me sane that we saw from TMac and ANB. Discuss.

COVID & AFL 2021
Full capacity will rely on almost universal vaccination of the 12+ population. Only the no hopers talking about their freedumbs will probably never get vaxxed and ruin that dream for 2022 and 2023.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I’m a fool then. He let himself be thrown around looking for a free. Its not the end of the world but it was ridiculous.

I have to say, I thought he was a bit of a thug when he was up north. That hit against Andrews? was horrific. But he was just frustrated and now he can enjoy his last few years in the AFL. And hopefully win a few more flags with Lever. What a dynamic those two have - they both grate on each other from reports but they get a great deal out of each other too.- The 'Afterpay' Kings
Good article. It was savvy to bundle picks forward and get the blokes coming through as mates and maturing together. Salem, Petracca, Brayshaw and Oliver is the OG of that strategy. They will be one club champions that should be in multiple flags. And of course the Jackson Pickett Rivers combo is another masterpiece. It all hinges on good drafting and decent development though and crucially with top picks. I keep hearing the refrain - ‘the best recruiters are seen in the 3rd and 4th rounds!’ No they’re not. The best ones don’t waste the highest of investments. And Taylor has only one blemish in his time here; Salem, Petracca, Brayshaw, Oliver, Jackson, and Pickett make up 5 of the most impactful 7 players on GF day. With only Viney and Fritsch to round it out. That drafting is why we won the flag.- Oldest premiership/surviving player/s.
Hibberd 31 I think- 3 More Years for Chris Scott
The cliff was the prelim and we kicked them over the edge. Wins the next two years are just branches that they hit on the way down. Their home ground advantage will mean they never replenish with the best talent. Scott will not see out this deal. This is a great day for footy fans and lovers of harmony and righteousness.- 3 More Years for Chris Scott

It wasn’t Luke Darcy. Don’t you ever say anything like the above again, do you hear me? I try to be civil and then people say inflammatory things like “good call, Luke Darcy??” I can’t be held accountable for my actions.- 2021 List and Contract Details

He didn’t say that. He said there is animosity between the teams and the FDs and that it was displayed with their rendition of that stupid song. He said it on Sportsday that he hosts with Gerard Healy. I think he’s right, and I love that we drew first blood.- Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Young players get more patience. Yes, we all agree. When I have been a coach I was instructed to play kids but I had a 28 year old who always got a game and ahead of more talented kids because he could execute his role better than any of those younger players. And he was pivotal in getting us into a position to win the flag. Selection integrity is big with Goodwin and co.; there’s no romance and games are earned. This will be the same for all players outside our stars. Some on this thread have a child like perception of how a team gets picked: “better not play ahead of Sparrow et al”… Yes he should, if his form warrants it - he definitely should play.- Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
I’m not sure I’m following; you are worried that we won’t land a top 5 talent next year even though we will have picks in the teens because we traded that probable pick in the the teens for a pick in the teens? What if this kid we take with ND17 is another Bowey? Helps us win a flag. Next years draft ain’t helping [censored] in 2022. - 2021 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May
