  1. Well I believe in Luke… For those that remember the dark times…
  2. Unless it’s a final - we have not been putting away sides. Some if you look like sheep standing on their hind legs with your confidence of a win and a blowout one at that. We have Casey’s backline featuring Steven May, we are losing the clearances around the ground like we always do, and if we can’t turn the ball over quickly we are kicking to Gawn, Brown and TMac all going up at once because of reasons.
  3. This discussion about the cap is an interesting one, we had a thread on trade targets where I had my go at who is getting paid what: I think that to keep Jackson and Oliver we are going to have to move on players in their prime who are role players - by definition they will attract a decent salary but their loss can also be covered relatively easily. So McDonald, Harmes, Hunt, Tomlinson, Spargo, and Weideman… I refuse to consider trading ANB and Brayshaw due to the fact that they are more than just role players (which may also apply to Harmes), and Melksham and Hibberd are delisted in this scenario. The downside of having so many stars is the quick progression of Jackson causes problems.
  4. Hmmm. I don’t know if the backline atm would be a good place for a debutant. Not setting Howes up to succeed IMO. I would put the acid on Hunt by giving him a big hug possibly. Don’t know what he responds to.
  5. I am amazed how Petracca and Oliver and Gawn with a bit of Fritsch, Brown and Jackson has so many footy watchers in awe of us. But the aura is just that. We are a system team - the cream on top is why we are the best but it is because we have this system that allows Trac or Oliver to look so dominant. So anyone is a chance (maybe not NM) if they bring similar commitment and we are slightly off. Hate to be boring but there it is.
  6. Had bad time. Stay have good time.
  7. He has elite skills and decision making. It is so stark atm with our backline minus Lever, Petty, and Salem.
  8. Well they did just agree on a new EBA - do you think there’s something in it??
  9. Stand him down until he signs? Strong but fair.
  10. Yeah, leave him alone. Track wouldn’t have thrown him under the bus like that unless the club was confident.
  11. I’m sure the Hawks bubble will burst at some point but god I hate seeing them win. Syd, BL, Mel with Carl rounding out the top 4. Maybe GWS… Good to see a couple new teams.
  12. May, Bowey, Tomlinson and Smith were good in a defence that saw a lot of footy. Gawn looked so cooked. Track and Oliver win that game for us. Brown, McDonald and Gawn forward saw too many packs with all three going up. Now let’s get back to Melbourne away from that weather…
  13. Just wash your hands after
  14. So one of the ‘bros’ from the Deebrief podcast is saying that he is hearing whispers that Lever’s injury is much worse than reported. Take of that blah blah blah.
  15. You are responding to a 10 day old post.
  16. It’s looking like that. I will be keen to see PA and BL play other teams to see if they are up there. Maybe GWS if they put Rich to the torch.
  17. Winning two games isn’t flag contention. I am getting convinced the Dogs are back in the pack but BL, Dees, Port, and Syd is where I am at.
  18. This.
  19. You guys better get there!
  20. https://www.womens.afl/news/91331 Prelim at the G for the Demons!
  21. Probably why they are flogging the 3 gamers
  22. If Rioli kept his feet he may have been able to make a last minute decision to turn out of the way as he was second to the ball. He left the ground, and he turned his hip into a weapon. We are trying to stop that behaviour.
  23. AFL Tribunal saying that holding ground and bracing is much worse than running full pace jumping and meeting a player with eyes for the footy in the head with their hip. AFL needs to appeal and then the need another review of the set up if this is what we are getting.
  24. Luke really should be going to a dentist or orthodontist for that.
