  1. AFL trade news 2025: Marcus Windhager desire to play more midfield as a ball-winner, St Kilda Saints, Melbourne Demons young players out of contract, Andy Moniz-Wakefield, Oliver Sestan, Will Verrall
  2. Reality is Kalani has played a fair a bit of time as a ruck and full back. Witts is 34 and Collins is 30. They may eye him to fill one of those roles.
  3. Hird has taken a swipe at Green. Personally, I love the response from the president and hope he continues to bat publicly for the club. https://www.nine.com.au/sport/afl/news-2025-melbourne-demons-president-brad-green-criticism-clayton-oliver-media-coverage-targets-journalist-20250507-p5lx79.html I also love how we smartly discredited the Tom Morris Trac speech story to show how grubby these types are.
  4. Freo were desperate to copy cat us they took Jacko to copy our dual ruck set up. They also like to play a slow grindy contested game style. Unfortunately that time has past and they'll probably go through a period of instability in the short to long term. We all know the talent. Not really fussed about his form at Freo, we would get the best out of him.
  5. Turner starts forward, Howes comes in as a key defender.
  6. 3 in a row feels awesome. Though, tactically it was a strange game. The first half felt very '21, heaps of supply but no forward half connection. But after Petty went down, we completely shifted our personnel around with Goody remarking that we moved Turner, Langford, Chandler and Riv to all new positions. After that, we really able to control the ball and launch from d50 to score. We look so much better chaining out of half back and it brings our best players into the game. Got the 4 points in a very hostile environment where we were at risk of losing all momentum. Bring on the Hawks.
  7. Great 3rd quarter, controlled the footy and scored from transition. Please keep this up on the 4th Dees. Windsor, Turner, Melk stood up big time.
  8. 2 x Bowey shocking handballs
  9. LOL What has happened to the new gameplan
  10. Max needs to a Ben Brown set shot, just walk outside 50 always
  11. 6 tackles from Viney to open his account, setting the tone at stoppage early. Need to play simple smart footy.
  12. Really good channel, lot of good predictions from his 2024 draft content. Did a great video about Lindsay after we picked him up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fAmvLjCFgI
  13. Naming Petty and Turner on the bench is playing selection mind games with the Eagles. Melky over Roo is playing selection mind games with the fans!
  14. Riv goes to the midfield, Turner adds some height to the backline.
  15. Mt Scopus is a school with cash to splash and is also looking to build facilities in Caufield as well, there is enough land for both organisations but due to legal planning mumbo jumbo it has affected our timeline
  16. It is my understanding that Pert is in a consultant position ongoingly for the Caulfield deal Paul will take over from the interim CEO in September
  17. The Spargo discussion is interesting. The last two weeks the forward line has functioned very well, with great tackling and ground level pressure. But Spargs is definitely in our bottom 5 players most weeks and his spot in the 22 is not guaranteed. While I do agree he shows good understanding of his role, the kicking skills aren't quite there at the moment. His kicking efficiency is about league average at 60% as well and he does not average high score involvements or goal assists either. He also has tried to rip the ball of another teammate two weeks in a row which is bad team play. Still, Kolt and Spargs are both coming from a long way back in form and fitness. I expect them to impact a bit more (especially Kolt) in the second half of the year. Reality is that Kynan, Woey, Laurie, Billings and Henderson are the only other options as medium forwards, and they are not AFL quality at present.
  18. Yes the ruckwork does not have a major contribution to raw clearance numbers, but his score involvements (SI), contested possession (CP) and clearance (C) numbers are all great. Vs Richmond. SI 12, CP 13, C 6 Vs Freo. SI 12, CP 18 C10 !! Vs. Cats SI 6, CP 12, C5 You simply want this guy on ball as much as possible.
  19. Im happy for him to fight with Melky for that 3rd tall role all year. Allows Melk to be managed during the year and it forces Fritta to play on the edge since he won't be picked every week on name alone. I think by the end of the year we will have a patch of really strong form which Fritsch will be apart of.
  20. We had a lot of scoring shots for sure, we also rested some important players too
  21. This was a nice safe win. We tackled really well for the whole game and fought hard to break dead even in the midfield after being about -11 at clearance. The 4th quarter was very bad. I doubt we have won one for the year. Overall, a succesful return for McVee and May. Happy to bank the 4 points and escape injury free.
  22. That was a real slaughter, Tigers were really shocking and our system and intensity was a step above. Great to see Roo get some touch but I can't say anyone else stood out very much.
  23. Roo nails his 2nd in gusty conditions
  24. The Tiges have been pretty plucky so far, but never in back-to-back games this year. Without Balta, they really struggle for key defender depth. All in all, we have all the tools to give them a right belting. I'd back in Fritta to do a defensive role on Vlaustin to help keep him accountable to start the game.
