  1. Those Eagles fans gesturing behind the goals gives me eternal joy.
  2. i just don't think we have a massive support base. Back in the day when I was at high school in the 80's, you could count the Dee's supporters on one hand. 6 decades of medicocrity will do that. The other factor is that when you are a successful club, it inspires fans to go to the footy. There are generations of Demons supporters who may never have even attended a footy game, because their familes just didn't attend games, so a culture of going to the footy never eventuated. I made sure my nephews became Melbourne supporters, and I even took one of them to a game, but they have never really been interested because we were so ordinary for so long.
  3. What has impressed me is his improvement when the ball hits the ground. He does stuff a player of his size shouldn't be able to do.
  4. His defensive pressure in the forward half was sorely missed last night.
  5. Agree. Lever was going alright before Petty got a regular gig.
  6. The Claytons is Goodwin the right guy thread.
  7. Ahh..you mean someone like Mitch Brown.
  8. I was kind of agreeing with you.
  9. Agreed. I thought we played an exciting brand of football, notwithstanding goal kicking accuracy, given Richmond's attempts to snuff the life out of the game.
  10. it wasn't one of ANB's better games last night, but he has been solid for most of the year. he will not get dropped for one off night. As for those advocating for TMac to replace Weid - TMac 5 games (4 goals), Weid 4 games (8 goals).
  11. i didn't notice it tonight, but I think Max suggested this as a tactic earlier in the week. Gus mentioned it in the Gus and Gawny podcast.
  12. We have beaten 4 of last years finalists.
  13. Jayden is really building this season, perhaps his best game.
  14. 6. Oliver 5. Gawn 4. Petty 3. Langdon. 2. May. 1. Bowey
  15. Dunstan got 3 Brownlow votes against Richmond last year.
  16. Who made you the arbiter of what a supporter should or shouldn't be? People choose to go, or not to go to the footy for various reasons. I stayed down the coast for Easter, have for 12 years and will contiune to do so. I will also attend as many home games as I can. I don't need somone else to tell me how to support my club.
  17. Thanks eveyone. i found a little booth opposite the temporary membership stand where you could pick up guest passes. The guest seating is behind the goals, it was a nice change to see the game from a different spot, however I wouldn't want to do it every week.
  18. Actually, it is on the App now, but i can't seem to forward it, but i can add it to my wallet which is useless. The email I did get was just a confirmation of purchase. It has a link to managing your purchase, which takes you to the club website, but still no option to forward.
  19. Yeah, i tried that, unfortunately guest passes aren't added to app.
  20. I have purchased a guest pass for a friend tomorrow night. Does anyone know where I can pick it up at the ground? Also, the club website says that you can't bring guests into the reseved seats area, but rather there is a guest seating area, however when I called the club today, they said we can sit in the area where I have my seat. Can anyone confirm what the deal is for guest passes for premium members? Thanks.
  21. He was brilliant, and unfortunately his white line fever will be what he was remembered for.
  22. Wow, you managed to get a beer. You should buy a powerball ticket tonight.
  23. Rent free Doggies, rent free. It's now official, Bevo is the Rudy Giuliani of the AFL. TMac was brilliant, Langdon ran all day and was damaging, Trac is next level.
  24. Great videos. Gee Goody communicates well. I remember he used to get a bit of stick for his media performances, but he sounded calm, clear and logical. In contrast, Bevo seemed all over the shop.
