Think it's fair to say that in recent years, and I'm talking the last 2-3, there has been a lot more emphasis based on the draft. Hawthorn have lead the way in looking for youth, Geelong have shown that a young team can win premierships, other clubs are now looking to follow suit. These deals for Hay, Woewodin, Jolly or ... Croad would not have happened this year.

So can people please stop suggesting that Freo is going to give us pick 7 for a middle-aged player, or Syndey is going to give us pick 11, or Brad Green will be traded for a first round pick. Not going to happen. It takes someone very special to have first round draft picks traded for him (eg Judd) and we have no-one good enough who we are willing to trade that will fetch that sort of a deal.

Agree with this. I was hoping Davey would stay in the forward line next year along with Sylvia to combat this problem.

Agree with this. He's [censored] around the grounds and is probably the worst kick in the AFL (which is why he only handballs). I'd have him over Jamar but probably not even over PJ.

Adcock would be in our 5 best players if we got him. He took a step up this year playing in the midfield. Good defensive player and good tagger but if you let him run free he racks up posessions. Uses it well and also goes in hard. He's worth pick 21, TJ and Miller IMO.

Come On You [censored] Spurs Can't believe I was so ecstatic with a draw at home but the come-back against Villa was something special. As soon as we find a replacment for Jol he will be up the door and we can start climbing the table again. It's been a shocking start to the season. I blame it partially on the manager, partially on the board not showing faith in the manager, and partially on not signing a quality hard tackling defensive midfielder. How good is Gareth Bale!!
