  1. Agree completely. Still think Whelan was one of the best small defenders in the comp before his last major injury, but may be declining now due to lack of football. Bruce is definitely a 2 and, sadly, our closest to 1 IMO. Even though his kicking aint spectacular. Just looking at my rankings again, not so sure Robbo deserves to be a 2. Mclean, Mcdonald and Jones defintely do IMO (although Jones and Mclean still developing), and could maybe throw Rivers in there.
  2. Wish list: (based on rumours and in order) Adcock Malceski Al. Davey Jolly Buchanan Meesen Would be happy to see us recruit any of those players. Roughead not there because he's not going anyweher.
  3. Just a quick shout out to this group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2324008732 On a side note, how quickly did the number of members rise in 'Bring Chris Judd to MFC". I was second to join that group and then less than a week later it had 800+ members.
  4. 1- 0 2- 6 Bruce, Mclean, Robertson, McDonald, Whelan, Jones 3- 9 Rivers, Green, White, Bell, Davey, Neitz, Carroll, Sylvia, Bate 4a- 9 Dunn, Petterd, Bartram, Buckley, Frawley, PJ, CJ, Newton, Warnock 4B- 6 Yze, Holland, Ferguson, Wheatley, Jamar, Miller (cruel because he's young but true) 5- 9 Garland, Hayes, Hughes, Neaves, Neville, Weetra, Petterd, Frawley, Bode Who have I missed?
  5. Why do people make suggestions like this. Look at Geelong, look at Hawthorn. You have to build for the FUTURE.
  6. Agree completely. Either way neither desevre to be our second ruckman, but we shouldn't offload one of them till we find an improvement.
  7. Think Richmond would be stupid to pass up Cotchin even if they really want Cale Morton. Would be a sensational turn of events if it happened but I really doubt he'll last till pick 4. He might even go 1.
  8. Would love to see if Bailey can turn around Miller's career, but is it worth the risk? Rather lay him off while we can still get something for him. If he signs a two year deal and then shows no developement, we'll have a dud on our list for a further two years.
  9. We must give it to someone somewhat young. For the future. That rules out Jmac along with his obvious lack of leadership skills. Yes he leads by examples but you don't see him rallying his teammates. Remember it doesn't have to be the best player, just someone who can rallly the team and fire them up. Look at Tom Harley. Definitely not Geelong's best player but look at the team huddling around him before veey game while he fires them up. He's an inspirational leader, we need someone like that. Would have liked Mclean myself. Goes in hard. Fires up teammates. Speaks his mind and speaks well to the media. However his poor year this year (largely due to injury) and his adventures overseas may have caused him to lose his chance at being skipper in '08. Jones is a good option but a little too early. Maybe there is a chance for a Jmac captaincy for two years and then Jonesy taking over.
  10. Mine: 1. J. Brown 2. Pavlich 3. Scarlett 4. Judd 5. Bartel 6. Riewoldt 7. Ablett Jr. 8. Cox 9. C. Cornes 10. Kerr
  11. I'd almost rather have Roughead than Judd. Kid is gonna be a star.
  12. Mclean may just become the best in the AFL next year because he'll never have a tag, and we know he's proven quality. Judd is good enough to break a tag of two players anyway
  13. Newton has already been presented his award. Anyway don't think Chappy's was better. Quite a few marks this year better than that.
  14. Sounds Juicy. Maybe Eagles will look to get rid and we could snare the double
