Zone defence works on the theory that you block prospective avenues from your attacking 50 by putting your forwards and others as designated in outposts! The idea is that you may not bloke the first chip kick but your can sometimes effectively stop the second kick out of defence thus shortcircuit the next attack. I NEVER liked it in any form of footy and when I coached I always played man on man defense thus forcing a contest! The problems percieved in this is that if opposition get the ball a quick team just all roll forward and create various options of ball delivery. My view is if you play man on man you force the first kick to a contest! I reckon that is much more preferable than an instant and cheap first possesion which then invites a switch and whammo you are on your way!! We frequently get caught out that way!

I strongly suggested Oliver for Harmes, possibly ANB for Frost ! Hunt, Wagner were rag dolled yesterday, Kent left his form back at the G and Lamumba did as he does and if it works , Fine if it doesn't it looks and is horrible. Most scathing criticism re players is with Mc Donald, FWIW I would contemplate a trade for him at years end for the following resaons 1 He is too hit and miss with kicking 2 He gets outmanouevered time after time 3 He makes Dumb Decisions If we perservere with Frost then give him a chance down back! Biggest criticism is with abysmal coaching yesterday!

OMG I had a shocking nights sleep and some strange dreams which were very nightmarish! This how it unfolded as I dreamt the following! Absoluteley agree I witnessed on may occasions players looking at each other gesticulating about who was on Reiwoldt???? So Roosy the onus is on you how could players not know who was meant tio be on him?? Farrrk me a champion like Rooey must have thought, Don't they know I can play a bit ??? FWIW Chris Dawes is needed as CHF ! If Frost plays, he plays down back! Chris Dawes still the "go to CHF" for mine, smart footballer, knows where to run, can kick vital goals and knows how to deliver! If his Calf issuea sre over I would extend his current contract no problem at all!

Well if we were to lose because we lack mids and clearances then You might have valid reasons for lamenting Oliver not playing! This might be exacaberated if we go in too top heavy! Agree with your last sentence!! I just would have thought forward line talls Hogan , Jack, Petracca plays tall and you have Pederson also in the mix.
