  1. I should be able to get three bays to myself on level 4 Warne stand.
  2. delusional adjective UK /dɪˈluː.ʒən.əl/ US /dɪˈluː.ʒən.əl/ Add to word list believing things that are not true:
  3. “We took a big step forward today” A quote from Goodwin’s presser tonight.
  4. Just listened to Richo on SEN. He didn’t say this in so many words but it felt as though there’s a concession from the club that we’ve overreacted from our 2 finals (where we dominated in either scoring shots or entries) and that we’re quite frankly struggling to adapt to a game plan focused on connectivity. Be interesting if we’ve drawn a line in the sand of if we persist with whatever we’re doing.
  5. Not overly happy with it. The coaching panel refuse to give him a whole game so he needs to make up the minutes at Casey.
  6. Think you nailed it with Disco going back tomorrow as he’s not the answer to our forward line. Tomlinson would have to be on one of the shortest leashes going around
  7. Ash Johnson unsurprisingly got axed for the Pies as he’s out there today.
  8. $3490 off a $10 bet but I was never betting on the 7 leg multi so I can’t complain. The combination of winners so far this round is absolutely sick.
  9. 5/5 so far. (Unfortunately didn’t put money on it so kinda happy if one of tomorrow results doesn’t salute) Literally every result has gone our way so far, although North beating WC doesn’t make a lick of difference to us. Geelong losing tomorrow would be nice.
  10. I’ve mentioned this already this year but I don’t think I’ve come across a coach in AFL that talks up his wins as much as Fagan. It’s like every win is a benchmark win against all the odds. He already declared the win over the Dees as the club’s greatest ever win…until it wasn’t when they beat a lame GC in round 8.
  11. Not that I care but the Dogs are a bit stiff from a fixture point of view. Tonight they played the Lions who have had 2 byes v 0 byes for the Dog. Then next week they play Freo off their bye and the Dogs still wouldn’t have had a bye,
  12. @FearTheBeard what sort of crowd are they expecting? Is it a genuine 95,000 sell out? Or a Clayton's sell out of 78,000?
  13. Brilliant work WCW. Good news about JVR. Our forward line needs him.
  14. Thanks WCW for sharing. Any news on how JVR trained?
  15. West Coast have a history of playing mid season draft recruits straight away. The bloke from Charcoal Chicken comes to mind either last year or the year before. I'm of the belief that the mid season draft should be used for players that can instantly help and impact clubs for the second half of the year. Players that are burning up the VFL/WAFL/SANFL and can hit the ground running in the AFL in a position that a club is currently lacking - eg - a 22+ year old natural forward to help the MFC.
  16. Would be seeking the number 1 gig next year I would've thought.
  17. My (pretend) $349 multi is looking good thus far
  18. With Adelaide losing, it will be nice to get out of the headlines for 5-10 minutes.
  19. Ian Hill injured his ankle at training but is expected to play.
  20. Agreed. But on the other hand, Sunday looks like a really good double header as it stands.
  21. Best results for the Dees in the event we win (operative word being event): Richmond to beat Adelaide Brisbane to beat Dogs Hawthorn to beat GWS North to beat West Coast St Kilda to beat GC Sydney to beat Geelong. Carlton to beat Essendon Incidentally that multi is paying $349 - 1
  22. If we get done this week, the club will be absolutely fearful of the crowd for the North game. Last year we only got 29K to the corresponding game, even though we'd come off a good ANZAC day eve win and were 4-2 with hopes still sky high. We could be coming into this game with a 1-4 record from the last 5, while North's contribution to the crowd will be 4 people and a dog. Sub 20K could be on the cards if it's a freezing cold and wet June night.
  23. Maybe Fullarton is one of those players who plays better at AFL level over VFL level.
  24. At the very least Melksham is a professional forward and natural goal kicker, which is exactly what Petty and Turner are not. He will add something to our forward line if his body holds up. My guess is that he'll return for round 18 V Essendon (13 July), after 2 VFL hit outs.
  25. Hopefully JVR gets up. My confidence in beating Freo was severely dented once JVR was surprisingly left out with injury. I don't think we're a chance on Monday without JVR given how diabolical our forward line has been this year. We can't ever have a forward line of Petty and Turner as your number 1 and 2 key forwards again. If you have to wheel out a finished BBB then so be it.
