  1. Statistically a bit better, but what about the job he’s been doing on the dangerous opposition? Held Walsh to 20 instead of 30-35. Did outstanding jobs on Clark from Freo and Whitfield from GWS. He’s been a significantly improved player from his MFC days, particularly from a consistency point of view.
  2. Based on his form and the specialised role he’s playing, and the form of our midfield this year, Jordon would be a lock in our starting 22 and would be higher in the B&F than our other mids such as Sparrow, Clarry and possibly Viney. Plus, with the absence of Brayshaw, we’ve got some midfield vacancy IMO.
  3. Sydney should be everyone’s second favourite side for the remainder of the H&A season. They’re on track to win 19-20 games and are clearly going to finish top. However second spot is up for grabs, so whenever they play another team vying for top 2 it would obviously be more beneficial for Sydney to win. And that started tonight with their win over Carlton who will be out of the 8 and at least 1 game and percentage behind us.
  4. Yeah it would be tremendous….. Speaking of Jordon, has there been a player in recent years to leave the Dees and play about 300% better at his next club the following year? We ought to be all disappointed that Jordon isn’t with us anymore as he’d have a role on the oppo’s best mid. Disappointed for us, not for him,
  5. I assume we either offered him unders in terms of length and/or money and/or GWS offered him overs in terms of length and/or money. In other words I have no idea other than I'd imagine we offered him a deal.
  6. 1-3. The win came against North in round 10 2022. Two losses against the Dockers.
  7. I think we've rushed back some players this year when they should've played VFL. Spargo played round 0 off no pre season game minutes and that turned out terribly. Bowey was poor last week and should've returned via Casey. Eight weeks off is a long time to get back up to speed, particularly in a high stakes top 4 kind of game. I'm on the fence on whether a 4 week absence for Salem is considered a lack of match fitness. If it is then, playing he and McAdam probably isn't the wisest of moves as you pointed out. We'll miss Langdon's run.
  8. That would be nice. Sydney are likely finishing top this year, but second place is very much up for grabs this year, and let's face it there is almost no benefit in finishing 1st compared to 2nd under the finals format. Therefore it's beneficial for Sydney to win against all the other contenders as it stands right now.
  9. Or better yet Collingwood.
  10. Any intelligence on Elliott Yeo who instantly makes their midfield about 200% better? It's believed he trained today.
  11. Absolutely reeks of a danger game this one. However, the last time we lost to a bottom 4 side was 2021 against the Pies.
  12. I assume this wouldn’t be available for Australian subscribers?
  13. Sure, why not... At the start of the year I was hoping they'd rest him for this game, however West Coast are far better at home than I could have imagined. (can only imagine Petty and T Mac will share 7-8 minutes a quarter as back up. GC rucked defender Mac Andrew as a pinch hitter last week, so it's not out of the ream of possibility that T Mac could pinch hit ruck as a defender)
  14. He quite frankly hasn't set the world on fire at all since getting injured in round 1 2022. 28 degrees in Perth on Sunday. Is that abnormally high for this time of year over there?
  15. I think the club should look into that and request a couple more red ball games next year to ensure the entire supporter base is catered for. Having said that, if we played North, Hawthorn, St Kilda and Richmond on the run home, then we would have had more day games.
  16. Waterman was always returning this weekend. I wonder if May or T Mac takes him. Hopefully Yeo misses again this week.
  17. Yeah that second last point is pretty poor form.
  18. So this year the club's bean counters and sponsors department will be happy with relation to genuine marquee timeslots: 3 Friday night games (including Collingwood in round 24*) 4 Thursday night games 1 Anzac Eve 1 Kings B'day (*going the early crow with round 24) On the flip side, it's bit of a shame we only have 2 genuine "red ball" day games in Melbourne this year. How times have changed.
  19. Our Friday night game against the Dogs starts at the early time of 7:15pm. Neither us or the Pies play on Sunday in round 23 which should mean we'll play them on Friday night of round 24, you would think??
  20. Just had a sneaky peak at the age website: The Essendon, GWS and Port games are on Saturday nights. The West Coast and Freo games are Sunday games. The Lions and Dogs games are on a Friday night.
  21. In the NFL clubs will play Sunday and then back up the following Thursday night. Clubs probably only do this once a year and probably have the bye the week after.
  22. @FearTheBeard in round 18 there’s 3 games at the MCG? Pies/Cats or Dees/Dons for Friday night? You’d imagine Pies v Cats would get the Friday night game but apparently Essendon are getting rewarded with prime time slots, so you know??
  23. 1-3 under Narrm. The one win came against North in 2022.
  24. Looking at the ladder, you know it's only a matter of time until the AFL adopts a wild card finals round.
  25. Been reading the WC forum on Bigfooty and Waterman was under concussion protocols and will return this weekend. Yeo is 50/50 but leaning towards playing. That automatically makes them a better side. A 6 goal win would be probably more than satisfactory.
