  1. Who bloody cares if we wear our red clash strip. I can't believe people are so sensitive on the matter. Jumpers don't kick you goals. Infact I've advocated for the club to wear this jumper at every away game.
  2. ND will be a dead man walking if we lose this one. 0-9!!!
  3. Thanks for the response guys. Pardon my ignorance, but does that mean you literally watch it live like on TV, or Live as in play-by-play in writing?
  4. Hey guys, On Sunday May 27, I'll be missing my first MFC match in Melbourne since round 5 2001 as I'll be in Hong Kong for the weekend. I feel kind of guilty abandoning the boys in their hour of need, and that I could very well miss our first win for the year. So I ask the well travelled folk of Demonland, whats the best way of keeping track of the live coverage? - log into Demonland and view the game day thread? - Listen to the radio coverage? - Watch the game live through afl.com from an internet cafe or hotel room (is that possible and do you need Broadband)? For the people that go to the game, enjoy it and hope the boys bring you home their first win for the year (unless we beat West Coast ) Help appreciated!!! **Mods you can move this to general discussion if need be**
  5. Can't agree there. I would've sold my left nut to get Tarrant at the club. He's been great for Freo in the last month and I would've traded Green and draft picks for him. Would've added some potency to our forward line, but thats history now.
  6. I doubt it. Who would at their third club??
  7. Geez at this rate we're going to have a belter of a side for the Roos game. Assuming no more injuries, we should have McLean, Whelan, Robertson, Petterd and Rivers all back. Pity thats the only Victorian game I can't get to this year. Best case scenario for Rivers is that they didn't want to subject his back to a 3-4 hour flight. Worst case scenario is that its something way more sinister. Think Whelan and Petterd will play but they'll save Brock for the Roos.
  8. I'm just convinced he hasn't got it. Skills are reasonable but he just doesn't have anything that the average VFL player hasn't already got....IE - STAMP HIS AUTHORITY ON AN AFL GAME!!! He played 2 fairly good games against Wet Toast and St.Kilda in rounds 9 and 10 last year, but then went missing from rounds 11-15 during our winning streak. Then when called up to a round 19 injury depleted side against Sydney, he struggled big time with 8 or so touches and was never seen again for 2006. Now 2007 arrives and he teases us with 2 supreme performances in the NAB Cup and rightly earns a round 1 gig. However his first 2 games for the season was un-AFL like (averaging 10 touches) and the club had no choice but to drop him. Its simple really. His round 5 performance against Sydney was poor as well. You just can't keep throwing games at blokes that are not up to it.
  9. Hasn't got what it takes to be an AFL player and is justifiably not getting games after a promising pre-season. Case closed.
  10. Trapper arguing with an umpire....god no
  11. Anyone who saw Frawley at Princes Park V Richmond in March knows he's got what it takes. He'll be a solid defender who's capable of running the lines. Will debut in about 3-4 weeks if he's Sandy form is promising.
  12. They might do a Dean Rioli and (LITERALLY) carry him over the line for the last 2 games of the year. Would be disapointing if he couldn't make 200 considering how close he is.
  13. Goodbye Byron. Thanks for the brief memories. I think its fair to say that his heart wasn't in it for his third club.
  14. You'd say Holland will get about 5 weeks for this one, going by the Jeff Farmer incident. I'm actually not to fussed on this one, it could've been a much worse (as in better MFC) player to front.
  15. No of course we can't have these darling doggies on report <_<
  16. I meant fair as in not being Cam Mooney, Des Headland, Broadie Holland, Fraser Gehrig etc....cheap shots for the sake of cheap shots. I don't mind players being serial pests as long as they don't go out snotting blokes like the above named.
  17. I'll be happy with 7 wins this year...and I genuinely think thats where we'll end up with. 7 wins will traditionally get you around 13th and therefore pick 4 in the draft. I think this is the perfect mix. We provide our supporters with some joy for the remainder of 2007 by winning exactly 50% of our games, re-creating that important winning mentality and getting the fourth hand into the lucky dip. I can't be arsed rocking up to games every week (even though I will) and losing, but I do agree that finishing 9th or 10th may do more harm than good.
  18. Copped a reprimand in 05 or 06 for a heavy bump. May have been in Adelaide. Having said that, for a tagger who gets under everyone's skins, he does appear to be a fair player.
  19. **Looks at thread and shakes head** So far we've had Judd and Pav coming to the Dees. What next...J Brown.
  20. I agree to some extent that finger pointing is a waste of time. However while the original authour of the thread was blaming Davey (who was our best player) I thought Neitz deserved to be the gun after smacking Harris after a goal at a crucial time...this was on top of a very ordinary game from the skipper.
  21. If you want to blame someone blame Neitz. Worst game of his career, and that free he gave away after we kicked a goal was a disgraceful act from a skipper.
  22. I can't wait for YM's preview V West Coast next week I reckon were a sniff this week anyhow.
  23. WB 3.2.20 5.8.38 8.9.57 13.15.93 Melb 2.6.18 6.7.43 11.9.75 14.12.96 Neitz 4, Davey 2, Bate 2, Yze 2, Jones, Godfey, Green, Johnstone Best - Johnstone, Jones, Yze, Brown, White, Neitz Crowd - 24,643
  24. Even though Jones is eligible, I think they'll favour the new kids of 2007 and the fact that he already got his nomination last year.
