  1. St Kilda are becoming the new Sydney Swans. Picking up recycled players for the fun of it seems. King, Schnieder, Charlie Gardiner, Mick Gardiner. Please take this bogan off us. Our Sixth round draft pick and Carroll for 123 sounds fair, as long as St Kilda pay most of his salary.
  2. Needs the protection of McLean so he doesn't get the No 1 tag. I'd be keen to experiment him in a forward pocket in the pre-season, just to add another string to his bow. He knows where the goals are!
  3. Well if push came to shove, ofcourse I'd settle for pick 25 rather than the PSD. But the MFC should do everything it can in securing a 15-20 draft pick for him. Perhaps even persuading Green to request his new club to compensate MFC in the best way possible...if that makes sense? If Green was a decent bloke, he would ensure that MFC got the pick they thought was fair for Green.
  4. Yeah he did. I was at the 2007 B & F (just after Bailey was signed) where he made a passioned plea for the players to shape up, keep in good nick over the break and do everything they can to impress the coach and their teamates. He alse mentioned the word continuous improvement about 50 times. Bailey would be embarrased by his speech with regards to how the next 12 months turned out.
  5. He's left us right when trade week is getting juicy
  6. Then if we finish 1-21 next year, I won't be expecting any criticism of the team from you, right?
  7. Has Warnock actually stated that he doesn't want to play for Melbourne? Or has he just said that he'd prefer to play for Carlton.
  8. Good. Anyone who thinks Davey should be traded has rocks in their head. If he has a consistent and injury free year, he'll be a top 50 player in the AFL next year...something we don't have.
  9. Chris Connolly reckons it's "100% bulldust" - Herald Sun
  10. Pick 25ish would be a disgrace on our part to accept for Green. Nothing lower than 20.
  11. I reckon Davey and Wonaeamirri complement each other really well. The image of Davey and Aussie kicking 7 goals between them in the Freo comeback was truly inspiring, awesome and a duo that could wreak havoc in games next year. This is one of the reasons why I refuse to entertain the thought of trading Davey. Aussie's output decreased significantly when Davey was out of the lineup. The games we got spanked where when Davey, Aussie or both were absent...ie Richmond game.
  12. Good! If I were Bailey I would've flogged them on the track the whole week after the Richmond debacle. We can't accept that [censored] at Melbourne.
  13. About 4 years ago I would've taken this thread with a grain of salt. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- If true though, could you imagine next year's team without Green, Wheatley, Davey and Chris Johnson on top of our regulation 15 injuries Now thats rebuilding!!
  14. Yeah McIntosh would be fantastic at Melbourne, but we're focussing on draft picks instead of targeting quality players that will help the MFC get off the bottom of the ladder in the next year or two.
  15. Was impressed with his progress at Sandy, and I expect him to get some game time next year. Just needs to work on his kicking.
  16. MFC would consider this the deal of the century!!!
  17. If Carlton and Freo can't come to a trade, then Warnock will go in the National Draft where Carlton will pick him up for free at pick 24, unless the Dees sacrifice pick 17 or 19 for him.
  18. I assume we'll only trade Jamar if we can aquire Seaby or Warnock.
  19. I know that we're absolute rubbish and will struggle to win 3 games next year, especially if Green and other seasoned players leave the club. Did you watch another Melbourne team this year?
  20. Bruce for a fourth round draft pick
  21. The club will win about 2 games over the next 2 years if we did that.
  22. So if you were in charge of the club, list your trades!!
  23. A must keep. If we trade him, our list will be about as exciting as a Saturday night in Hobart.
