I agree with old dee that Melksham is a faster footballer than Jeffo, in that he creates fast, attacking ball movement to our advantage. His foot speed may not be quicker (though he's by no means slow), but his ability to pressure opponents into mistakes (ie. turnovers) and his super vision and deft kicking IMO mean we are more likely to create play quickly, whether that's fast ball movement, bullet passes or splitting a pack for kozzie or chin to crumb onto. Jeffo hasn't shown much of any of these things, however it's not apples with apples. He hasn't the experience yet and so far relies upon separation from the contest to do his best work, which is mark and a set shot on goal I believe he'll come good. Needs game time and significant development. A less crowded forward line and better delivery i50 would help massively. Imagine him in a similar forward line to Collingwoods where there's plenty of space with Daicos, Sidey, Pendles, Houston, Quaynor and others feeding him. Not that they need him or I'm comparing Collingwood to us, moreso highlighting that our 4 year habit of long bombing i50 kills the craft of a KPF And Kolt needs to put in a good game very soon. He shows flashes, but doesn't get involved enough for my liking. Yes, yes, like Jeffo, he only has a handful of games under his belt, but for all his speed and confidence, he doesn't do enough. Chutzpah will only get you so far. Had the chance to nail a few last week, none of which he looked confident kicking. A 25 possession game with 3 goals would do him the world of good. I wouldn't drop him, just that he needs a breakthrough game soon for his own development

Oliver is not worth Geelong's first pick. That's red n blue wishful thinking. He'd get a late 20s or early 30s pick based upon his $1mill+ per year and his output over the last 18 months. A salary dump, to put it bluntly The cap space would help if we were going for a big fish or 2 Kossie should be getting 2 x firsts, one would need to be in top 10. We'd might pay some of his contract to negotiate for better picks Sure, I'd like both to stay, especially if Clarry can get back to full fitness. Can't see it happening though And Reid would cost 3 x 1sts and $1.5m per year minimum

I can't see us sacking Goody during this season or during the 2026 season. If it is to be, I would think the end of this year or end of season 2026. That gives us the best chance of securing the person we really want Goody might just right the ship, and with a couple of good off season recruits, as we did with May and Lever, who knows what might happen. However, if we lose Trac, Clarry and Kozzie, IMO it's fair to say we are rooted

I think it's time we put games into players we see as being part of our next flag. Get some momentum going and we look a better team faster.

Umpires definitely giving Coll the benefit of the doubt many times. I've seen 3 or 4 throws and a couple of insufficient attempts not paid to the bombers. Wet weather or not, they should be paid. They usually are to Coll... surprise, surprise

Happy to cut him some slack, but not playing in the seniors. If, as you suggest, fatherhood is affecting his ability to perform for MFC then give him more time at home and let him play for Casey. I'm not convinced that is the reason for his drop in form, he's been below part for a long time now, but I absolutely think he should not be playing seniors based on his current output.

Really pleased with the form of Sparrow, Salem and Bowey. Three guys whom I thought their best was behind them. Loving their improvement this year. A lot of 1%ers and hard running to create pressure.
